You know what really got me going to wrestle? I loved to listen to other matches while I'd warm up. Nothing got my blood running better than counting down the bout numbers until I was due. Seeing sick takedowns, late period escapes, and desperation tosses built the fury for my matches. I fed off of the tears of the fallen and the elation of the victors. I would shadow wrestle or stretch while I waited. I'm not saying music is bad, but for me, the quiet led to focus and intensity.

Now around practice, I listened to a lot of Alice in Chains, Korn, Slipknot, Tool, and Mudvayne.

never cared much for warm up songs myself.  I didn't get fired up because of some song, I got pumped up about dominating another person.  It's like those kids that smack their heads before they wrestle in order to intimidate the other guy, it's just silly.  Who ever got scared cause some kid smacked his head before a match.  We had a Phil Collins song "in the air tonight" playing as we came down the stairs during my state finals match were im from.  That song still gives me chills when I hear it.

I'm all for some rap....if it's original. I'm kinda tired of hearin about bustin caps and sellin drugs, besides the fact that rap just doesn't put in the mood to wrestle.
