to bad Apollo beat both ohio county and Paducah Tilghman at a tri meet and we are still ranked lower then them as a team

No you are not ranked lower than them as a team.  The Dual team rankings do not mention any of the three.  You are looking at tournament rankings.  MUCH MUCH MUCH different than team rankings.

dang and I wasted this post for my 900th post.  :x

Once again, the team rankings are projected state tournament finishes.  Let's say Union Co's roster only consisted of Ervins.  You may beat them in a dual (probably be close).  But at state you would get smoked.

no just the match at the begging of the year when it was fern creek,PRP,central and manual in a 4 way. An if you remebered when it happened why would you ask "when did this match up happen?"

I mean't when, if ever, did the second match take place.

i think ryan schoppe should be ranked higher, at the caldwell tourney he had cory armstrong pinned within the first 2 minutes of the first or second period. the ref didnt get down on the mat quick enough to call armstrong pinned. just to let you know your ranking at 171 Kyle Proffitt pinned Matt Fry both times they wrestled last year at 189

How is Kevin Porter (central) ranked above Cody Mann (Fern Creek) when Mann beat him like 18-10 and now he bumps up a weight class and is ranked above him?

Sit down and take a deep breath.  I didn't go back and look at all of the results and I missed that one.

Raydale Williams of Iroqious graduated last year. Also, Porter could be ranked higher because, even though Mann won that particular match, Porter was bumping up and held his own against a bigger opponent. I wouldn't count him out as a result of that match.

Technically, he could.  I don't know what he weighed in at, but if he was 120 then he can wrestle 125 or 130.  Then after a month or so he could make it down to 114.  Assuming his body fat allows it.

He weighed in at 120.3. My bad ranger. I suppose there is still that possibility.

Based on the current rankings Team Ervin would score about 81 points at state.  Last year that would have been good enough for 13th which beats a lot of schools.

Also you can look at Doss and Fort Knox the two lowest schools on the list with a number 1 ranked wrestler.  I am not saying Nickle and Bailey are their only wrestlers but if they decided to quit tomorrow both teams would drop several places.  Keep in mind 1st place will get you about 29 points depending on how your matches go and thats good enough for a 34th place tie at last years state tournament.

What's up with moving down the 2 teams in the football state championships, Class 6A, St.X and Trinity.(So much media coverage for football, yet so little for the toughest and oldest sport)

I don't think (but I'm not totally sure) that Trinity has lost a dual.  #2-#3?

And St. Xavier? From #31-#34?  I think this quote from Dr Cradle sums up my confusion on why they didn't get moved up.

"Don't know how you rank teams.....but you got to have some love.

St. Xavier high school. currently ranked 31. huh

  Lost to # ranked 8 Seneca 36 - 30 ( one match difference)

Lost to #rank 5 Woodford co. 36 - 31 came down to last match

                        Beat #7 Fern Creek 54 -17

                        Beat #11 South Oldham 39 -33

Beat Franklin Co. 54 - 18  (...Franklin co. beat # ranked 20 PRP...)

Ranger 123  brother man...do the math....

can't wait till wednesday................................................."

So where is the love Dr. Cradle was talking about.

Also: good job on the rankings!  Now you have the Top 30 in each weight class and your goin out to the Top 65 teams.  (I think there were only 81 teams at state last year) !!!!!  Nice.

Ranger, you should make people take a licensed agreement that they know the difference in team dual and individual tournament scoring.

singleleg, these are projected outcomes of the khsaa state tourament. TOTALLY different than dual team points.

Yeah Cory dominated that match except for the 3-4 seconds he got caught on his back after he lost the single leg ride. He ended up pinning Shoppe the next period and was totally dominating him before that, besides the fact that you may have thought it was pin even though it wasn't since it wasn't called a pin. An "almost pin" does not count as a victory, sorry.

Yeah.  But better teams generally place higher at tournaments (especially KHSAA) than not as good teams.

I don't think Southern's 215 beat Ryondrae Wesley from Central.  Ryondrae didn't come out for wrestling until last week due to football.  He may have beat a 215 from Central, but I don't believe it was Dre.

you can quote what somebody says... just trying to help.

At 125 wheres Jon Voth at? :?

My guess is he will make the drop for woodford since we get 3 lbs. Unless he decides to stay up, but I give ranger more credit than not knowing something like that.
