Kentuckywrestling.com HS Pre-season Rankings 2011/2012 - August 22

Recommended Posts

I know everyone is waiting for an update, especially to see where the new move-ins fall. Well, here we go. Will probably wait until the practice kicks off before I post another update. Check out the "Region Rankings". 2 interesting things of note: R6 looks to be a standout and R3 has moved ahead of R5 (most of us have been dogging on Region 3 for years).

When Jayce made the trip to the Simon Kenton one day clinic.

Pappa Carr told me that Jayce will be back at 132 next year. Said he would have went to Fargo at about that wt., but he was not able to attend the tourney.

Remember Ranger is ony making predictions on where kids are going next year. Most of the Campbell kids are not where they plan on going next year.

So don't get too saddled with what Ranger has postd here. He will have the wt's more closely accurate come December.

Okay bulldog. I appreciate the support on one hand, but I think these weights are perfect. :) Well, not exactly, but I will bet you "most" of the campbell weight are correct. I have 12 guys listed; that means 7 are off. I have talked to that many or more and this is the plan according to their weight and intent.

I guess it really comes down to what Hamilton decides to do. If he goes 145 then you may have it correct. However if he goes 138 (which he has mentioned several times) then someone is out.

Stadtmiller has told Jr. that he is not going to wrestle this year (going to focus on baseball) I hope this does not turn out to be true.

I'm just curuios on how things work out at Campbell. The new wt. system has thrown a monkeywrench in things and I think someone who was varsity last year will not be this year.

Stephen Myers #1 at 132. I see his brother at Austin at 195. These kids are tough as nails and fun to watch. Glad to see them move into the great state of KY from OH. Kinda of sucks for Tyler Kaelin though. I was hoping to see him win a state title. Not too sure if he can get past Stephen. It will be a fun one to watch. Congrats on Grant County getting a couple of studs like these to help get their program up and running.

138 in ky will be legit anywhere in the nation I expect whoever runs runs into someone else steph plays ball and doesn't like to cut and fahy is bigger than in yrs past let's just let them all wrestle regardless of weight and give everyone what they want ,sounds fun I have a fresh to throw in the pot and my $ is on him.I will keep the same prediction. For him as I had in oh a 4 x placer and a multiple x champ he will have no challengers his jr or sr yr just like his last 2 yrs in jr high all the kids are good steph fahy cooper etc etc but austin is unique in a. Sport full of unique individuals. He's like a norse god he has wrestled bo and zeke jordan mark martin losing but giving up 3 yrs age difference when others his age would forfeit he has traveled the country and placed and won against the biggest and best exception fargo where he wrestled up in greco to stay big for season and was th e youngest member and double st c hamp on team oh and he is going to be the strongest wrestler ever in ky or oh and peopdoele will love him in ky for his heart justd like they do in oh.can't rank him #2 he's easily the. Best in the state and I'm sure he has the highest nat grade ranking to prove it his brother being next.

And I'm being humble .he's a freak plain and simple and we want 4 regardless of sise and age

While I appreciate your enthusiasm for your kids, I can and will rank Austin #2 (or lower) until I see something on the mat (more than a courageous loss) to change my opinion.

Come on Ranger, surely a Norse God deserves a higher ranking.

I can live with the Norse Gods, but wouldn't say I'm overly impressed with them. And on Mondays and Wednesdays I hate them (inside joke).

I am sooo proud of myself. I have been able to hold my tongue so long. But if I am not mistaken all the Norse Gods Thor and Oden included die at the end of the story and only one average man and one average women survive by hiding behind the tree of life.

So if we use that analogy Austin will lose to an average kid and not make his goal.

Your welcome for the free history (mythology) lesson.

Just remember this is the opinion of GOO

Nothing more nothing less.

You can take it or be like my wife and just ingnore me.

GOO OUT.

Well they came down from ASGARD for open matts after football practice last week at Grant CTY perhaps you should ask them yourself and bring some of the kids you want them to wrestle maybe you will get to be a part some new mythology my friend its all fun till someone is left wondering what just happened .I am fine and really very happy for a freshman being ranked 2nd ,but those courageous losses came years ago and he hasnt lost a jr high match in 2 years and has demolished everyone IOWA NAT the MICh Rumble NY 1000 is duals and pinned his way through his last yr untill the finals of state where he had a major win over a retyrning second placer after bumping up about 4 classes and this was in OH .Doesnt matter hwere he is ranked it matters where he ends up and he will end up at the top of a few state podiums .glad to be back in ky

Funny the norse mythology i read had MODI and MAGNI surviving .the sons of Thor no charge for the free mythology lesson HAHAH

OK I stand slightly corrected.

Some minor dieties survived Ragnorok but none of the major Gods. (Unless you count the ones resurrected). Plus the two humans who repopulated the world.

Just poking some fun.

Point is very few of us know about or have seen Stephen let alone Austin wrestle.

I know their credentials. but making bold statements don't go over too easy here in the Bluegrass.

We always get a bad rap when it comes to wrestling. Mr. Hall came here and tried to win a title as a 7th grader. He came close but was stopped. (until he went elswere and remained a 7th grader).

I hope your wishes come true for your kids. I don't really have a dog in this fight. GOO Jr. does not have the competitivness for becoming that great. Arrrghhh. (not much more I can do about it "it is what it is")

I don't like much argueing about predictions we will find out soon enough. I'll save my predictions till I see both of them wrestle again this year.

Good luck.

GOO out. :D

Man can't you see my picture up there on the upper left. Ole GOO ain't makin no mythology no more.

I don't care who they wrestle I just like watching a good match. I'm not dissing anyone. I just like to stir the pot a little but you make it much to easy to stir. (Dang I just had to keep going didn't I) Ahhh well were all adults here anyway.

We are all here on this Earth to have fun not fight. Just think we all lose in the end anyway, everyone dies.

GOO out.
