It's too late for any chit chat.  Keep posting results and informing me of lineup changes.  You guys have been doing great so far.

One exception to the chit chat rule tonight.  There has been a Dusty Brown siting.  Word has it that he stubbed his toe at the World Cornhole Championships and couldn't compete (it really hurt; he couldn't even eat brownies for a couple hours).  Anyway, after a couple days grooming poodles in Paris (he sets the hair style trends in northern Ky) he came home to see his brother Clayton wrestle against Campbell County Middle School tonight.

tates creek did beat johnson central in a head2head so why are they still below them?

Southern lost to Meade in a dual meet and in a tourney.  Ft. Knox's Waits and Darcy both got pinned last night by Brandon Scott and Garret Kneely from Meade in a dual meet.

should osborne be ranked infront of zarth already? He lost to him once in ot, and lets not forget how one loss doesn't keep zarth from winning at state, Miller beat him at regional last year and then he came back to beat miller at state.

if he hadn't put osbourne ahead of zarth, there would be an outcry from the people as well.  watching that match, it really could go either way.  i think it will be a 1-2 point match every time they wrestle.

You guys take these rankings way to personal.  They are just a best guess estimate made by Ranger who can't possibly keep track of every meet, match or dual that takes places.  The rankings are best used as a good barometer of the competition taking place.  There is also a week to two week lag in the rankings compared to real time, this happens because match reports trickle in at a very slow pace.  By the end the the season Ranger usually has things dead on.  Be patient and don't take the rankings to personal.

Why did Dusty Stengel move up? Not putting him down or anything cause hes a good friend of mine, but just wondering if he did something good that i don't necessarily know about.

He said he wasn't going to post on this forum anymore.  That atleast moved him up a couple of spots.

If you were in a seeding meeting and they were arguing over who was the #1 seed for the tournament.  Who would win?

Head to Head.  Wake up!

When 2 wrestlers are ranked 1 and 2, and 2 beats 1, then he is the new number 1 regardless of what may happen at the end of the season or what happened last season.  Sorry, that's just the way it is.

And seeding criteria are not always the same as rankings.  It is just one element.

to be honest im with kentucky10 on this one. i mean rankings are not the same as seedings by any means. rankings are a prediction of state, the seedings are how you are placed in the bracket. personally i dont think that osbourne will finish higher than zarth at state, yeah he beat him, but zarth has proved two years now that just because he lost, that doesnt mean he isnt going to pull through. unless osbourne beats him again, i think zarth should still be number 1.

but thats also why its called an opinion...

$$$ talks, Ranger is looking to buy a nice 3rd Vacation Home. Who wants to be ranked in the top five, hey bidder, hey bidder, hey bidder? :-D

Just keep winning, beat kids ranked above you. Report it to Ranger, give him some $$$ and you will move up.

Disclaimer, because Ranger ranks you in the top five doesn't mean you will be top five at state.

Ranger, I get 30% of the take!

that is exactly correct, being ranked top five doesnt automatically place you there, you still have to work to get it.

I agree with tc125 for once. lol. i agree that Zarth will more than likely place higher than Osborne at state, but i do think that for now osborne should be ranked first. he did just beat the number one, "to be the best you have to beat the best" right? if Osborne doesn't get up to #1 then that just defeats the purpose of kids aiming for top ranked wrestlers. but i do think that Zarth will pull it out at state. i wouldnt be surprised if he majors everyone, and possibly sticks osborne. thats just the way he is, as history has proved.
