This year it just so happens that my family vacation is scheduled at the same time they are doing the beach nationals in Myrtle Beach. So I can't oass up the chance to do it. sheeves 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 I thought that you could not wrestle any lower than what you competed at state. I may be wrong.the rule syas that you are not aloud to bump down a weight class
Bodylock 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 The rule says a wrestler cannot go down below a weight class he competed at during the season. So if John ever weighed in this season at 152 lbs. he could go.I remember Ruschell doing it 2 years ago. He wrestled 112 at Beast of the East and weighed in a few times during the year at 112 lbs. This made him able to wrestle and place 3rd at Senior Nationals at 112 lbs. eville dad 17 Report post Posted March 7, 2007 John is going to USAW Nationals in Fargo, he will be in the Junior age group. They have no restrictions on wt class relative to high school. He's not going to the NHSCA nationals. It's the NHSCA event that has the wt class restriction.
