OCMVP

A shocker from the Oldham Co schools I think was Mitch Rusch placing 4th as an 8th grader. I figured he had a good shot, but I definantly didn't see him placing that high!

No doubt South did a great job. So did North with 3 placers! OC didn't have that good a year with only 1 placer. Out of the 8 placers from the Oldham Co school, I believe only two graduate Thomson from North and Warren from South.

#4 Logsdon? Didn't place. #9 McCall didnt place #11 Grahm didn't place #7 gentry didn't place Not a single kid in the finals. Guess LaRue must have drugged them!

Region 5 is tougher than 4. The 3 oldhams, Eastern, and Jtown are all stud programs. Fern Creek while down right now, also has some really solid wrestlers.

I honestly think that Shirey and Rusch are the 2 best 135's I have seen this year. I seriously believe they will make it to the finals and have a Region 5 regional rematch ala Scherer and Martinko from a few years back. Their technique was awesome. Not only that their two tough kids, just tough. I've seen most of the 135's this year, and I seriously think they can make their way out to see each other in the finals. Honeycutt is on Rusch's side, and Rushc can handle honeycutt (whom shirey had trouble with) and I think Shirey comes out on the bottom. I may be completly off, but seeing these two wrestle, goodness they are good. I will say the ref in that match sucked. He is not one of the better refs in the state, does that mena the outcome should have been differant? No probably not. I do think they are 2 equally matched wrestlers who can make their way all the way out. I for one, want to see that.

Good match until the 3rd period, then Boroff ran out of gas, he looked good up until then 171- Warren SO pinned Hinkle NO ---- Warren was DOMINANT 189- Durbin EAS dec Greene JT 7-6? 215- Mcneely EAS pinned I can't remember 285- Brown SO pinned somone from OC 1st- Eastern 2nd- OC MOW- Rupp----- he wrestled an awesome regionals.

Oldham County

Perhaps not. I see a no brainer in Little Rusch, Thomson, and Avera. Big Rusch and Hinkle will have tough matches.

Mine after last week: 103- Rusch NO 112- Taylor Jtown Unstoppable in region. 119- Kaelin OC Unstoppable in region. 125- Bisenius SO Will avenge the loss the Schyuler. 130- Avera NO Beaten everyone at 130 in region 135- Rusch NO After beating Pender i give him the edge over Shirey 140- Thomson NO Shapirov will give him a match 145- Procter SO 152- Ayers OC After beating Hendren he has to have the edge 160- Hinkle NO I see him beating Boroff in a good match 171- Warren SO Unstoppable in region 189- Durbin East Unstoppable in Region 215- McNeely East Unstoppable in region 285- Whitlock East None of them in region are really great since Brown's done.

5-0 is a beating, sorry. Your boy didn't even score. Not 1 point. Nope, nada. Pender better pray he wrestles someone else, cause he can mark Rusch off as a loss. 1 attempt to turn him? You mena like when rusch had him in a skin, picked him up and planted his face into the mat until Pender crawled out of bounds? Face it, your boy got WORKED. If kaelin isn't a threat, then why did Brabury (once again) act like a true paragon of sportsmanship? I mean seriously i though they taught you catholic boys not to cuss and pout?

For my money the two guys out in the Oldham Co area are Kaelin for OC and C Rusch for North. Kaelin lost 2-1 to bradbury at the mustang, and had Bradbury cussing and acting the fool off the mat. I think next time they wrestle Kaelin wins the match. Chase Rusch won the mustang and totally demolished Pender from Trinity.

Really? How is that? He's highly ranked and doesn't deserve it. I watched him loss to Jarvis and then OC kid this weekend, looked horrible in both matches. he's got good technique but he's slow, and doesn't seem to have any gas.
