I have been asked to lead Team Kentucky again for the Scholastic Duals on April 4-6th at Wabash College. Last year we had an amazing tournament and came away with 3rd in the Nation! We need our highest available state placers in 2019 to participate so we can walk out of there as National Champs in 2019! We will have information at the state tournament for our state placers who are interested. There will be multiple Team Kentucky practices throughout the state leading up to Virginia Beach Nationals (end of March) and Scholastic Duals (early April). Lets bring home some more hardware for the state of Kentucky! Any questions please contact me at (859) 312-4414 or parkswrestling1@gmail.com. Rusty Parks Head Wrestling Coach Woodford County HS

Johnson Central travels every where don’t see why it’s hard for them to get people to travel there

Region 4 75 lb class had 4 kids place in the top 6. That region was stacked at that weight. Herbst from Carr academy was unranked most of the season and ended in 4th place. Wettlaufer from Woodford beat several top kids to place 6th. Surprised that Britt didn't place top 6 but he did win youth state. Region 4 alternate Ryan Smith (5th grade) from Johnson Co. won 2 matches beating the #10 ranked kid.

I’d say you on spot with your comments. What coaches of all sports should realize success breeds success. We can all build off of each other.

I just want to say what a great tournament this was, especially for the first time. Other than what I thought were unnecessary breaks/delays it was ran pretty good. But what really made it a great tournament was those young women wrestled like dogs!!! There were more competitive matches than I expected and everyone who participated and took the time to make sure these ladies were able to compete should be very proud. There was a man standing outside when I stepped out to get some fresh air and he had a big grin and said "this is the best tournament I've been to in quite some time, man are these girls fun to watch" ... I couldn't agree more. My experience might be helped by the fact that I got to see my daughter become a State champ and you couldn't tell her that it wasnt legit. Just like the boys getting ready to compete in less than 2 weeks, these young women trained hard and battled like they deserved to be there and I hope the next step is for KHSAA to step in and make this an official State tournament. While I think it's fine they wrestle on the Varsity or JV teams with the boys during the season, my daughter held her own against them too, this is a great thing to reward and let them showcase how hard they work and get ready for the next level, college, Olympics, etc.. keep bringing it Kentucky!!

Also, let’s not forget the biggest concern here. This topic was hijacked by someone and it took a left turn. Kids are on here, you don’t say derogatory things about kids, you don’t even say things that can be misunderstood as derogatory especially about a respectful young man and this one in particular is just that.
