We're coming down to crunch time.  The Dragon this weekend, then state duals, then a week off (for most) and the fun begins.  I'm not even trying the excel file this time.  PM me with an email address and I can send it to you if you're interested.

Did Bernard Ray beat Walls?  I see he moved up, just wondering.

Yes, he pinned him.  I heard Walls went for one of his patented cradles and Ray came out of it on top and pinned him.  One tough freshman.  I would never predict him winning it all this year (with Courtney around), but he will be a handful the next 3 years.

I have not seen Jeff Warra wrestling since November. Just wondering how is he still ranked as 112 #4.Good luck to all of the wrestlers, now that the train is speeding up toward State duals and State Championship!

I train with him. He's a monster 112. He can make finals.

I thought you were injured?  Now your training with monsters instead of rehabbing?

Perry County has beat letcher everytime they have wresled each other this year, and tied in points with mccreary central but lost bc of takedowns.

The large team rankings list is based on state tournament scoring.  Dual meets are a completely different animal.

nice rankings ranger as usual. one question though, i thought steve supe was dropping, did he decide not to? or is this the first time you have heard that?

also i see that region 7 is shaping up and taking its usual place at the top of the points scored at state list. once again, im stuck in the best region in the state, you have to love it.

I'm not sure where he will end up.  I did hear a couple weeks back that he was thinking about dropping.  Did he wrestle 125 at the 5 star?  We'll see where he ends up at the Dragon.

Not now that i'm all banged up. I was up until that point. He's a 112 that'll give you all you want and then some. He's got his head on straight this season and he's goin' all out.

i know that if he wrestled 125 at the five star, he didnt place. at least i dont think he did, cause i was watching the matches and dont remember seeing him, then again i was on the fifth place half of the gym due to my pool. i guess we will see as you said at the dragon.

will bryant dec dee leavall 5-4 at big east finals (great match hard fought on both sides) and camden hanley dec jeremy burnham 5-1

Didn't know about Hanley and Burnham.  The Bryant/Leavell match is hard to adjust for.  Leavell has been very solid all year; looking like a sure finalist.  Bryant is a top guy on his good days, but has an occasional hiccup.  If he wrestles to his potential he could be a high placer.

I have no personal opinion about the matter either way, but I do recall some people at the Big East disagreeing with a call in the third period of that match, that may have tilted momentum in Bryant's favor.  I will say though, that Bryant definitely put himself in a position to win regardless of the call.  Both wrestlers looked real good that day, just not necessarily during that match.

I agree. The first 2 periods were all Leavell, although Bryant was able to keep it close. Then in the 3rd I'd say they were both equally agressive. They both were taking nice shots that were almost finished and then ended up out of bounds. Bryant took a nice shot and finished and was able to ride him out for the win. Honestly, I feel it could've gone either way.
