Region 5 Tournament

Recommended Posts

This looks to be a battle between Woodford Co. and Oldham Co for the team title. I think North Oldham, South Oldham, Scott Co. and Franklin Co will fill out the top 6. It's nice to see Western Hills have increased numbers as well. Hopefully someone in the know can fill us in on seeds etc... It looks like the brackets have been built on trackwrestling.

Chase fink is a tough kid but he has suffered losses to Ronan Wyatt once or twice already and with Jakob McClintic who is a high caliber wrestler joining the weight class I think it's just not his year and i'm taking McClintic to win it.

Really? A negative for posting accurately. That's cute. This isn't Facebook, this is a wrestling forum. You don't always get away with posting nonsense. Don't post something if you don't know what your talking about, you will get called out.

The 145 bracket looks rough, top 3 are probable state placers to include the likely state champion.  Maybe the toughest bracket this weekend.  Hard to believe one of these boys will be a 3 seed going into state.

Landin suffered what was feared to be a broken neck when he was flipped in the title match against Travon Wright of John Hardin. He was taken by stretcher to an ambulance. It was certainly scary.

Incidentally, Travon Wright is a tremendous looking physical specimen, dominated everyone he wrestled in this tournament, including in the title match, and should be considered Mitch higher in the rankings.
