So...If he is in 4th grade this year, was he a 3rd grader last year or did he repeat 4th grade? Hmmm? He was listed as a 4th grader back in 2015 too? If so, how was he eligible to compete?

When was the last to do so and how many have? I know Campbell Co had one a few years back.

The Spatola Classic has added a girls division this year. Youth - adult open. So girls bring your Moms and get on the mat. Seriously, this tournament has gotten much better since he moved to UC.

I hope it does Not happen. I have twins wrestling Ms. They take a beating but both are All Americans. When we go to all girl national tournaments they dominate. Just my 2 cents.

There are people around the state working hard to make it happen. I think this off season will present some interesting opportunities.

Trust me..... I am pushing it like crazy from me. I have spoken to Danny Upchurch on numerous occasions to get this pushed through to get it in front of the right people.

I do agree partly. The point of state duals is to show team ability and sportsmanship,however we had a kid get his leg broke in December from a bad fall on the mat. That being said if you have a kid who is in serious contention for a top finish at state tournament where it is about the individual I personally wouldn't want to take the chance of risking their chances. That is why we lay it all out to our contenders and let them decide. Just say you have a wrestler that is 8th grade been to state every year and barely places but now he has a chance at top 2, why take a chance at him not being able to achieve what he has worked for? Although we are teams we are still an individual sport.

We finally have weight classes. With only 1 week of updates left I changed it up this week. I listed my top 10 for each weight class. If a wrestler is listed they finished top 4 in their region. With Ryle's results at regionals they pulled ahead of Walton. Walton drops a spot to #3 behind Carr.
