teams that have the biggest advantage

Recommended Posts

I hope you are correct MPire about no one wandering around. It will dedinately help YOUR team (NOT MINE) win another state title. From what I know about this team, this team needs someone (not a coach) to be in their face. Franck got Mathews in line and Garth tried to keep Woods, Hamilton, Bachman, and Keaton in line. I know at home by boy said "I was cheering hard at the conference against SK because I didn't want to get yelled at by Garth and his dad again".

I have no doubt about your two, they have trained and grown up under different conditions. They will do their think and lead by example, (If anyone on their team will pay attention). I fear that many on the team will live their goals through Stephen and Austin and not do it on their own. Not S. or A. fault its the others fault.

We will see, maybe Austin, Stephan, and Fausz can carry this team. There are some others on the team who will give it their all. Krebs, Spahr, and Maggard, but they are young and will have to make great strides to reach your boys and Fausz level.

You're still taking this whole thing that happened last season very hard, aren't you?

TT; Don't get me wrong every KID on that team will recieve by full support and help, If I can give any. My door is open to every one of those kids on that team.

However, I will never again wear the purple and gold, nor will that team recieve any financial help or volunteer time from me or my family. A 25 year friendship was lost over this, and a lot more.

BL - that is a tough one to swallow, but I do understand your position on the matter and you have to do what you feel is appropriate for you and your family. Hopefully, with time all wounds can be healed.

I find it hard to understand peoples way of thinking one minute i think bulldog Leader is on board and ok and the next its all a mess again .

How the heck can you actually bee mad as a coach it seems you would have been happy for the team at least they got rings and a state title and your son is still a sr and can help get it done again .

It seems like if you looked at it from all angles you would not be mad our kids are friends and you obviously know my sons have paid more than their fare share of dues .

I mean if any one should have benn mad it should have been me ,My son stayed all night with you last yr the day before wrestle offs and i was totally oblivious to them the next day ,do you think anyone would let t heir kid stay all night with someone get up and go to practice with someone who they had to wrestle off with whos dad would be in the room when you were not .

Heellll no ,and then afterwards you bash coach B and say my boys shouldnt have been allowed to wrestle ,thats insane how could you befriend a kid and then bash people for letting him live out his dream and take what he earned .Im sorry but i can see you being upset with your boy losing his spot but i asked when we came would they be allowed to wrestle and was told yes from day 1 and i thought they would get to go there cert weight and they could not .they were done wrong by Grant and the ruling on their weight was a bit bogus ,although i was very grateful they got to wrestle in the end .

Making comments that can spark a team or get a fire lit is fine but always being negative only makes your goal obvious ,wether they win state again or not or wether anyone on the team does next year or not it doesnt matter whats done is done why not help your boy become the sr leader you say the team needs and let him finish out his time at CC having fun with his friends including my son and let it go you obviously have people there that you had and have a great relationship with over the years ,Honestly your boy helped the team a lot he earned his ring like everyone else be happy

I have changed colors a lot over the years had yrs worth of word wars with whole teams and had my kids actually cheated in wrestle offs not only by score but have seen them wrestle of with a kid above their weight beat them, get cheated ,then have that kid show up in my kids rightful spot not make weight and watch the coach put another kid in my kids rightful spot ,seen my kids bumbed up so others could get a win and watch mine wrestle studs over and over again and just let it go because i knew there would be days like the state tournament .and thats just one story ,my kids were kicked out of a HS room this yr because someone said my wife gave a kid a dirty look then have my kids have to set out most of the year ,trust me you dont know what being treated unfairly is about ,why dont you take your anger out on Grant Cty they ar the only villains in this story .And most of the culprits are not even there any longer it just shows how pointless it is to stay mad .you have a lot more things to be happy about ,why not go in the opposite direction help your son earn another ring and help the team even more ,you obviously enjoyed it and are passionate about the sport and your kids ,I have seen your son wrestle i think he could have placed well at state i also saw Troxell and Jones while Stephen appeared to beat him easily Troxell was on that day and looked very strong he just got out slicked and Jones was no slouch i do not know if He could have beaten either one and not that it changes things much but it helped the team as did Austins points .

Let your son make another run at state he obviously has friends my son included who will help him as he will help them ,

or keep complaining and watch his sr year go by with him either not wanting to wrestle or it being miserable for him or you taking him elsewhere Either way how is it helping him ,if he were a sixth grader you could get mad use it to fuel him and you and come back and hammer whoever you wanted ,but he is not he is a sr its different circumstances ,be smart

It's obvious that winning is not everything.

I spent most of my life as a Camel even when I coached 10 years outside the system. I returned at the request of campbells head, I was his assistant for 12 years through the 90's. I also returned because of my son.

The ring means nothing, I already have 2 from the 90's. Yes Kent may have one but it means very little to him. I've never seen him wear it. Maybe when he is an adult he may savor it more.

As I have stated several times. My beef is not with you your sons or any of the other wrestlers. It is with KHSAA, CC, and it's staff. It's unfortunate that you and our sons are in the crossfire.

I have done nothing nor will I do anything to hinder anyones success. I will be at every event next year as a perent not a coach. I have a mat in my basement and if any one of the kids (your son's included) can come over and use it or ask for help from me. I'm not sure if I can help any of them but I'll do my best to try.

As you mentioned I wanted to lite a fire under the seniors this year (the reasons for me posting). I did not change the topic "yaknowwhatimean" (see post #23).

Sorry to hear about your losses in life , I have as I am sure many people have losses in life as well my comments were all about the unfairness in the sport. I lost a daughter to and evil world and I walk around with pins and screws and crushed and compacted bones and a handicapped arm compliments of an idiot doctor and bulletproof mindset but I tried not to give up even though it cost me my dream and a possible shot at the pros and what I did my whole life .

The point I was trying to make was when things do not go right as they often do in sports look for the bright spots or work harder and wait for your chance make lemonade out of lemons , if you thought as I do I would have my kids friend who is a pretty good wrestler over practicing rather than playing Pokemon Drilling rather than chilling , but that's just me

Or if you feel wronged switch schools and makem pay whatever makes you happy but do whbed best for your son either way.

If everyone called it quits because of something that was or they thought was unfair there would be a lot less champions and a lot less upsets in the sport and all sports .not knocking anyone or any kid program or whatever but if you are a coach worth anything as you say and you son has any talent whatsoever I'm sure there is a spot he can take or make on the team it not a team of invincible superstars they are good but a good kid who worked could make the squad , I have seen some of the beat kids in the nation set the bench and get better for it St Paris Graham has had many of them over the years not make the team then win state the next yr .

I know it's a bad situation but there were upsides to it , seems strange having your kids help their team win state and win state for themselves and get ostracised for it taking heat from within and without , but I guess it's all a part of sports and life , either way they are 2012 state champs , complete with drama and storylines that will make them unique in cc and ky wrestling History .

If it were my wiould try to have my kid bust his ass and get to state and do the best he could that is the only win win . And if it's not that important , then it never was worth getting upset over in the first place .

I have many more stories moved my kid across a state to be coached by national champs and Olympians only to be ran out of the room and team after the original coach was fired , being hated by all the parents for making the move to begin with we found ourselves without a team or room for three months before state we trained in the basement and both my boys made finals at state 1 winning over an eventual multiple time state champ an winning the ow and the other losing to an eight grade Bo Jordan as a sixth grader in the finals after beating kids the rest of the state said he could not . And that was his last loss , point being we never gave up we whined and got pissed but we trained and got it done .

to everyone blasting me... im just gonna come outand say that i will lead by example, i may be a play baby but when it comes to wrestling i know hot kick it into gear, i also have done more summer things than most the kids in KY if not all, besides fausz and cooper. And i am a phenominal practice partner thanks bulldog leader, clearly by the huge strides ive made, and i also dont see anyone beating me this year at the state tournament besides the possibility of polly. CC= 4 state champs, and 4 other placers mark my words :)

Trust me there are others who train as hard. And you should be confident, your a heck of a wrestler, but I don't think anyone was bashing you. Criticizing yes, bashing, I don't see that. I think you've been called out. Answer the call.

PH, just keep doing your thing, and don't worry what others think or write. I have no doubt that you'll kick it in. Enjoy the next 2 months (not too much) and then it's time to get ready to place at Super32.

Haha bashing, one of my best friends dad is saying that I kinda find it degrading ... but don't worry when it comes state time I expect people to be presently surprised with the whole CC team as well as their season.

Hamilton is not a hard worker in the wrestling room. I've seen it for 6 years now, unless he changes this year.

No doubt about your ability, I just don't think you actually know how good you can/could be. With hard work no one would touch you this year at the wt. class you choose. The only one who could is on your team. If you would have worked HARD since your freshman year, you and Stephen would have been talked about hand in hand, and the jugernaught from SK, Mr. Cooper may have been staying out of your wt. class.

I dont want this to be about me, I don't want anyone in the state to look at me negatively from me posting so I won't comment no more, but I will say that I cut harder and worked harder than anyone in that room the last 2 years and if you don't think so your crazy

since you don't want it to be about you then I'll say the same thing about the rest of the senior class you grew up with. Most of them don't know how good they could be with hard work. You are the wt. loss king, that is true. With the exception of J. Lee I don't know if anyone could drop wt. as fast as you can.

Just to define hard work; Hard work is trying to be 1st in all sprints, trying to be 1st in all running, all push up, all set up, and killing the weight room. Just learning moves and drilling them is not all that is needed. Pushing yourself every day to the point wher when practice is over you can barely stand up. That is true hard work.

Just remember you can lie to everyone but one person, the one that counts, YOURSELF.

I have to admitt some of the CC kids have not impressed me duiring off season open mats but they did impress me with the practices i peaked in on duiring the season and thats when it counts ,not many kids go 100% all the time all though a few come close and it works for them while some can turn it on and off very quickly .I was not trying to blast any kid just give a nudge in the right direction .

Im confident PH can win a state title maybe with a little help or in the right class being around Stephen and Kevins weight is a tough one and while Polly may be very good i feel PH can beat him a little easier than anyone suspects after being in the room with Stephen all yr ,no bragging just honest opinion they should both help each other out this year and i agree PH i do not feel you go 100% all the time but anyone with your skill and talent has worked hard to get it and can be a great practice partner ,minus a little playbabying ,

Honestly every kid in the state is not safe i feel Kevin and Stephen could knock each other off and Probably Lampe and Carr could do the same to each other ,the only Juggernauts i see are Brock and Austin ,no one in the state is going to beat them in my opinion regardless of sr vs soph football great going d1 hooplah ,Brock is too talented even for all the very talented kids in his class and Austin is too experienced too strong and is an iceberg he does not crumble under pressure and now and again it leads to very big wins .minus a freak head and arm or the like these two are untouchable

It seems union SK and CC all have a great advantage they all have a superstar or two it will all depend on the supporting cast the team the not so talked about kids who will become the very talked about kids come state time ,

I love how they have multiple user names .A little entertainment keeps people interested but more often than not becomes stretched facts and warped reality used to sway opinion ,either way what happens on the mat determines facts from fiction .

Looking at advantages CC SK and Union have loaded Teams Ryle has a good program with young kids and great schedule but like CC who lost Yenter lost a great leader in Reuchell.Walton verona has a set of stud Brothers and even more great coaches and some very very focused and talented youth wrestlers .I hear Trinity is deep and they have some state champs of their own im not sure if they have tapped into their Football pool for wrestlers they are bound to have a few hidden treasures down there .Larue and woodford seem to have great histories but i do not know a whole lot about their kids other than the ones i saw at state and some have graduated .

I expect all the kids at CC to play pokemon and chase girls all summer while trying to make the football squad and then live off of their win last year opening up the door for the rest of the state to humiliate them .

Yeah Right ..........

I am having very very serious problems with my oldest son he is a pokemon fanatic i dont understand if its a phase or some kind of childhood regression where he goes back to being pokemon crazy ,perhaps it was all those days practicing missing out as a youth wrestler /football player i dont know but hopefully airing it out to the public will change his habits its sick he watches old pokemon movies on cable and the internet while he is playing pokemon on his ds or ps or whatever the heck thos little games are called now me and his brother are like hey man we are headed to the gym are you up for it and he is like are you serious im level this and such and getting ready to battle for some kind of badge or something its really annoying seeing a kid nearly 18 playing pokemon with his 4 yr old brother ,

I guess it doesnt matter i just hope he tells the truth to all those college coaches who just started calling LMAO im messing with him but i am serious as a heart attack as well.

Oh yeah Dragonball Z KAI ,i had no ideal it was so popular i mean not being a perv or anything i thought teenagers would be into porn or something not japaneese chineese or whatever anime

Well it is silly i know while kids like Kevin Cooper are running bleachers with logs on their backs like the guy in vision quest and thinking of new ways to torture kids like Hiero Chamberle on his team Stephen is Jumping on my bed having squirt gun fights with my 4 yr old in front of the computer watching old pekemon episodes .while his other brother is in the gym preparing to break state powerlifting records .

the crazy thing is you have a 22O lb state and national champ come home and even remotely try to get lippy and this idiotic acting playbabying delinquent whips the shit out of him automatically .

it is an insane world
