New Wrestling Program at Thomas More College
raider replied to ThomasMoreCollege's topic in College Wrestling
Commitments are rolling in. Kids from Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee and Georgia already have committed. Check out the full list on Intermat. A couple familiar names have been pulled out of retirement. Jake Erdman and John Shirkey both will be wrestling with the Saints this coming year. Build it and they will come.- 3 replies

I agree. It's just another way to measure the strength of teams next year. Any team can make huge gains by putting in the work in the offseason. Tough to beat meaning what? Are you predicting back to back state titles or just saying their team will be a top teir team?

Below are the top ten scoring teams from this year with seniors removed. 1. Trinity 132.5 2. Campbell County 98 3. St. X 93 4. Ryle 87 5. Union 86 6. Fern Creek 83.5 7. Lafayette 78 8. Woodford 77 (51 if Carr moves back to Dayton) 9. Oldham 54 10. Dixie 51.5 Trinity starts with a big lead but both Campbell and Union have several light weights that will step into the lineup and contend right away. Ryle won the Middle School title in a close battle with Union when next years seniors were 8th graders. That was before Meyers was at CC. You never know what moves might occur at the Catholic schools and Fern Creek is on the rise. It will be an interesting year. Which program will step up and take it next year?

Incredible coach, incredible person. I highly recommend Avery. -
And the number 3 gets upset at regionals and has Brock in the 2nd round.

None of that matters in February.

Rankings for 106,113, and 120 pound weight class ( top 5)
raider replied to Heisenberg's topic in 2014 Season
Don't be so sure. Wells and moore have split this year with moore winning the official match at Findley OH. If Moore ends up in the starting lineup he'll be top 5. -
At nkac frank beat spahr and owens beat frank.

Roth is at 126. Ashford from scott should be top 4 at 132. Krebs is at 113

Have they wrestled this year?

I was just about to post the same thing. Two great wrestlers. Glad to see TJ continue to take steps toward his goals. It's great to see so many kentucky guys in D1 lineups. Yenter 133 Michigan St (Campbell County) Fahy 141 Illinois (Trinity) Ervin 149 Illinois (Union) Ruschell 149 Wisconsin (Ryle) Lampe 184 Chattanooga (St X) Has there ever been so many at one time before? *edit: added high schools. Also interesting to note which programs produced these wrestlers. Hats off to these programs for creating the type of lineage that's required to elevate the level of Kentucky wrestling.
