Blake Nelson  Madison Co is in the 165 lb weight class. I think he has a really good chance of taking his weight class at State, he has been undefeated for last 6 weeks, and hasn't been pinned all year, only lost by 1 point in the two matches he lost. He turned around 2 weeks later and pinned the kid who beat him. Nelson is a strong wrestler and a good kid.

Just for your FYI on those of you who are picking Rusch as the 110LB CLear Favorite! Tyler Frankrone beat him for the Region 2 Title! Not saying he won't win it, but just wanted you folks to know who's thinking he's the clear favorite! They actually battled into overtime, so I wouldn't be surprised if Rusch or Frankrone won it.

i have a question do you think mckinley from twen will have a shot at placeing? he beat belk and destroyed oxford?

What weight class is he in??

There are several wrestlers at 103 that have a shot at placing including McKinley. It's going to come down to who decides to show up Saturday. He did pin Oxford (1:09 sec.) at state duals and Oxford beat Belk 13-5 but all that means nothing come saturday. Oxford and McKinley will meet in the quarter finals as long as they both win there first match. Don't look for McKinly to have it that easy if they meet again. There are going to be some great matches in the quarters semi's and finals.

Time to open up a discussion on the 96, 103, 110, 117 lbs finals predictions.  Who is going to be ready to bring it on Saturday?  Let's be respectful in our comments about these kids - but who has the goods to challenge the guys who were on the podium last saturday at 103?

They will not meet if Clay Brown decides notto wrestle.  That movesBelk to Browns spot and McKinley to Belks and so forth.
