John Hardin really stepped it up and came ready to wrestle.  Had an awesome first round leading by very little and never looked back.  I think they really liked the region 2 trophy from last year and decided not to give it up.  Larue wrestled very well but didn't get the pins they had anticipated.  Congratulations to all the wrestlers and to John Hardin for never giving up.

GO REGION 2!

It would have been real interesting if LaRue 189 didn't break his hand.

Impressive what 3. Nelson County (NC), 147; 4. Central Hardin (CH), 145.50 are doing. :-o

LaRue suggestion wear boxing gloves the week prior to Regions and State.

Matt Miller couple years ago that cost a possible State Championship and now Blair possible a Regional Championship . :-(

Well respected program, just some real tough luck

To be honest, I didn't see Blair beating Pitcher. Would have been a good match, I just think Chris would come out on top.

Concur, but when Larue gets runner-up bonus points for runner up (12) instead of fourth place (7) that might change the over all out come :?

Agreed.

But you're also assuming no one pulls an upset on either Blair or Pitcher.

Would have been huge had Blair or Carman had made it to the finals. That would have probably swung things in LaRue's direction.

Josh,

I agree, honest Blair makes the final and Pitcher still probable wins via pin. But, that may have Been enough for Larue to have won not sure but darn close. :?

All of the coverage that your organizations has contributed to the area is impressive.  Thanks continue the coverage as other may follow kids and media.

It would have definitely been close as LaRue was down just 6.5 going into the finals. It would have been doable. The 12 bonus points (isn't that how many they would have gotten?) would have put them ahead of John Hardin by a few points.

And HB, all I can do is try. I love covering the sport and the people I get to work with are some awesome folk. If you're at State this weekend, look me up.
