So I don't see Demery at 125. Did he not make weight or was he not able to wrestle anybody know what happened to him.
-
Not sure of all weight classes but I think Alex Murphy from John will place top 6 at 119
-
Anybody know the entire results for the tournament. I really would like to know the placers for the 135 weight if anybody has them I would really appreciate them thanks
-
Did you all watch that Eric Grajales I think that is how it spelled at 135 weight he is hands down the baddest dude in that weight and possibly any weight. He is college ready now and is going to Michigan next season.

Best pound for pound in KY history- Definative Poll and Explanation
va07 replied to widowmaker's topic in 2009 Season
Miguel Merritt I have never seen any one just destroy everyone the way this young man did absolute animal. So much stronger than anyone would believe and so very quick. I think if he would have wanted to he would have wrestled D1 and done very well. He was hands down the best I have ever saw on the High School level. No disrespect intended to all the other great one's on this list. I think you have to throw Murton in the mix he was great I think without the injuries he would be doing much better in college. -
Best wrestler never to win a state championship?
va07 replied to bluegrassbrawler's topic in 2010 Season
There are two I put on the list both wrestled at Central Hardin in the early 90's. The list you all have compiled is awfully tough to go against but I just feel like these two were pretty tough. Robbie Higdon Darrel Smallwood -
I agree with you that Bruce was a little better thab Livingston. Mainly based on his conditioning he was in great shape for a Heavy. As far as at 189 with Miguel not sure that would even be close Miguel was unreal on the mat my personal opinion the best 189 pounder ever in Kentucky not trying to disrespect any other wrestlers just my opinion.

I was hoping that Mark Jones would got to senior nationals. With his great athleticism and strength and speed I think he would represent Kentucky and him self real well.
-
Lost alot of very good seniors this past year. But Josh Johnson heads alot od very good returners for a loaded John team. Demery and Wood and Browder are all back for North who had a young team they should be alot better next season. Central has atleast Terry back not sure who else is back for them but he is pretty tough. Larue had a very young team I think they only lose Miller and Carmen maybe one or two more not sure exactly but I know they will get back Paden, Newberry, Ray, Jakes, probably a couple of more I just can't think of them all right now. I almost forgot about one more from North that would be Haynes who I think has a very good chance to make alot of noise.

Well if we go by rankings Wolfe over Brownfield is an upset plus Brownfield beat him earlier in the year. Also by rankings Jones over Kelly is an upset not convinced myself though that it is really an upset Jones seems to be really focused this year and more aggressive than ever glad to see him start to reach his potential good time to do it.

103 Elam 5 112 Spencer 1 I think he upsets Sullivan 119 Martin 3 125 Voth 2 !30 Lewis Woodford if he wrestles like he can unstoppable in my opinion 4 135 Brown 6 !40 Peace 12 145 Courtney 11 152 Ashbrook 7 160 Ervin easiest pick of the tournament 14 171 Reid No brainer 13 189 Jones Finally gets his 8 215 Green 9 Hwt Bailey 10 Jones for MOW he will have beat Kelly and Houchens

Which do you think is the toughest match mentally the semifinals or the finals of state? I have always thought the semifinals were tougher in other sports. But I never made it to the state semis in wrestling just curious what you all think!
-
Simply based on strength I say Reid. Not a real solid yes for me though as Mitch has more than proven himself to be able to overcome strength when he beat Banks last year. Banks was one of the strongest pound for pound in the state the last couple of years. Mitch in my opinion handled him pretty easy in the finals last year no disrespect meant to banks he was great as well just ran into a machine.
-
No question in my mind Mitch! By major and maybe a pin. I think Mitch is the best in the state this year alot of good wrestlers though so tough to say he is.
-
So no Cody Wood for North? Wow that is some major team points gone. I still would not count North out of the title run. They have a strong possibilty of atleast 4 champs. I say three definite with Demery, Wolfe and Jones. I know that Wolfe lost a tight one with Newsome but I have a feeling Wolfe will not lose to him again I say this with no disrespect to newsome he has had a great year just my opinion that's all. The fouth one is between Haynes who will have a tough time and Wilder I think one of these guys pulls the upset and wins there weight and maybe both. I do realize that these are outside chances with alot of things having to fall into place for this to happen. Just my opinion and dreams as I am a North fan! John with all the champions they are gonna have will be very difficult almost impossible to over come but all things are possible if you have faith!
