stand-up 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2008 If go back four years in time and look at Fern Creek's Middle School team, you would have believed that this years High School team would have been unstoppable. Members of the 2003-04 Fern Creek Middle School team included Tommy Warren, Josh Burkett, Grant Ohlman, Trent Kelley, Josh Lewis, Ben Barger, Jarman McNiel, John Wolsiefer, Deon Chaney, Eddie Lee, Antoine Lee, Curtis Gages, Myron Bradbury, Erin MaCauley, Brad Hitchings, Brent Hitchings, Tyler Ford, Derrick Branch and other talented wrestlers. This list includes seven Middle School State Champs (some of them multiple champs) and many runner ups and placers. If you were to fill in this past seasons Fern Creek line-up with the kids from the past middle school team, this is what it could have looked like:103 - Myron Bradbury112 - Daniel Wexler119 - Tommy Warren125 - Josh Burkett130 - Grant Ohlman135 - Derrick Branch140 - Tyler Ford145 - Ben Barger152 - Cody Mann160 - John Wolsiefer171 - Brad Hitchins189 - Kyle Hardin215 - Deon ChaneyHwt - Eddie LeeThis Team could have won state with possibly 11 or 12 kids placing. So What happened????103 - Myron Bradbury -- Wrestles for Trinity, placed 3rd112 - Daniel Wexler -- Fern Creek, placed 6th119 - Tommy Warren -- Quit125 - Josh Burkett -- Quit130 - Grant Ohlman -- Wrestles for Trinity, placed 5th135 - Derick Branch -- Fern Creek, placed 5th140 - Tyler Ford -- Wrestles for Manual145 - Ben Barger -- Quit152 - Cody Mann -- Fern Creek, placed 8th160 - John Wolsiefer -- Quit ( Sad, Sad, Sad)171 - Brad Hitchins -- Wrestles for Trinity, placed second198 - Kyle Hardin -- Fern Creek, Did Not Place215 - Deon Chaney -- Quit285 - Eddie Lee -- ?Oh what a great team this would have been if they would have stuck together... thomam 11 Report post Posted April 18, 2008 Oh and Myron was living and I believe still is living in Hardin County. If thats the case then he could not wrestle for a public school in Jefferson County. He would not have been at Fern Creek.

grappler-of-old 44 Report post Posted April 18, 2008 It is still possible to attend a public school out of the district you live in. You must enter that school district your freshman year. It is up to the district recieving the individual as to if they except him/her or not.
eaglewrestler12 2 Report post Posted April 18, 2008 Yep. Coach Hitchings' move to Trinity has driven Fern Creeks program into the ground. That combined with Wolsiefer, Barger, Warren, and Chaney quitting this year.
SheHateMe 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2008 Why did so many good wrestlers quit. Doesn't make sense. Guys that are dedicated to wrestling will put up with anything to wrestle.

penguinskillkids 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2008 There are so many personal reasons behind all of this, it's unreal. I've been there since the very beginning, so trust me, I know. It would have been unreal to see what the line up could've been like... Stuff happens though and there isn't anything you can do about the decision people make.
