martin is at 119, a returning state champ, and has beaten evans, so that puts him at either 2nd or 3rd for now.

daniels, zarth, martin, evans or

zarth, martin, evans, daniels

i'm pretty sure shane parks will not be back at 119

We shouldn't get into eligibility issues, but I believe he moved a while back with the full support of his former coach, so I don't imagine there are any concerns.

Oh sorry..

I know eligibility is not allowed on here but let me say...

Shawn moved at the end of last year due to personal reasons. It was a legit move that I discussed and backed with his family. He will be eligibile and Lafayette and its coaching staff wishes him the best.

Why is Zach Shaw ranked in front of Judson Pitman in 145?...They have only wrestled one time in their freshman year and Pitman dominated him. Judson also beat Ryan Clark from Eastern this past year who is also ranked ahead of his by a large margin.

Coach McCoy,

I would just like to say that it is good to see when a coach is more worried about the kids and the sport of wrestling than their own personal agendas.  I applaud you for that.

Maybe I need to post a disclaimer every single time I update this.  There can be a number of explanations.  But the most common are:  1) No one in the state gets all of the results.  I do my best to research newpapers and track down information from coaches, wrestlers, parents, and other fans.  But, I never have all of the info.  2) You beat Clark and Shaw.  But you were not undefeated.  What if those guys spank a couple of kids who pinned you?  I'm not saying that is the case here, but that happens all of the time.  So you can't just look at one other guy and say "I should be above him".

Brandon Brack is dropping to 130!

Youll have an excellent shot at being in the finals if not being a regional champion at that weight. I believe Union is looking at MATT YOUNg and Christian County has Austin Jones. Both are underclassmen with limited varsity experience.

Good luck Brack. Cutting weight was fun. Oh the memories. lol

To All:

It is good to wrestle as close to the weight your natural body has developed as, do not cut too much weight (just for the team). Most of you will still win in the weight class you should be in, a few pounds are excepted.

I think KY wrestling has shown that we can wrestle with all the other local states in the lower and middle class weights without going 'Out-of-Bounds' to lose weight.

I said this last year, be healthy, if you are good, you will win!

Just make sure Danger does not send you to a porn site with his attachments, LOL

I think you need to do more research, Seneca is going to surprise a lot of people. losing only Cheu and Dockery the two replacements will turn some heads and this Team is Hungry With Seniors Martin, Poulton, and Poole leading this insane team. Let them fly under the radar and soon you will see their backside only :-D

I agree, Seneca never gets the press, but they have IMO one of the best Coaches in the state. Coach Anderson has been doing this a long time and its scary but I think he must get better each year cause his teams are always in the hunt. He has a few kids with MS experience but most of his kids dont start wrestling until high school and he gets them up to speed and competitive quicker than any Coach I've seen!

Why don't you give me an education.  It's not like they aren't getting any respect, I have them in the top 10.  In order to be higher the individuals have to be higher.  So why don't you tell me which kids should be higher and why.  You can't just say these guys are hungry (so was I when I got out of bed this morning) and insane.

Seneca will be very competitive again.  I am sure of that.  However, didn't they lose Fuller as well?  That means they lost wrestlers who finished 2nd @ 119 (Chiu), 3rd @ 125 (Fuller) & 4th @ 215 (Dockery).  They did gain Johnson this year and he will more than likely finish higher than 5th @ 103, but losing the previously mentioned wrestlers will be very hard to replace.  They may have their other guys pick up the slack and believe me, I've known Zach Poulton for a very long time.  His parents are family friends and I pull for him every time he wrestles (except against one of my wrestlers of course).  I would love nothing more than for him to win a state championship, but even under the best circumstances, which includes Poulton, Martin & Johnson winning individual state titles, I don't think they will gain enough points from the rest of their wrestlers to finish in the top 3.  It could happen, but it would be very hard.  I'm sure Chiu, Fuller & Dockery's replacements will do just fine, but I would wager they won't finish 2nd, 3rd & 4th in their respective weight classes.  I think Ranger has given them a lot of respect, but only time will tell how they do.  It's hard to give any team more respect than a top 10 state finish.  By the way, I don't think anyone does any more research than Ranger does on the current Kentucky wrestlers so that statement is both ill-advised and just plain senseless.
