Hey, you and your team are inching up the rankings.  Isn't that enough?  Besides, you missed my birthday last month, so we'll call it even.

Speaking of that, when are you gonna put Aaron Choate on here?

I don't have anything to go on.  What has he done that would convince me he belongs?  Don't get me wrong, I believe he probably has some ability (based on Dakota), but I have to have a reason to put him on here and drop someone else off.  FYI, he is on my "guys to look out for" list.

Mark Jones and Ryan Kelly are both good athletes, and a tad bit on the strong side. But i dont think Ryan Houchens will lose a match this year.He took 3rd at state last year losing to Starks. Take a good look at what he has done over the summer!Houchens will out wrestle anyone at 189.  Good Luck to All!!

Well, he'll be a freshman and, from what I understand, he won the middle school conference or somethin' up there. I'll ask if he can come down to a tourny this weekend.

Since the new rankings are out I thought I might give an update on Wren our 112 (Holmes).

He has been cleared by the doctor for normal everyday activities and seems to think will be cleared for all activities in the next month or two.  Wren also says he only weighs about 120-125.

We are looking forward to a full recovery for next year.

just wondering- how you do the summer rankings?  saw some kids go up while others go down. do you get results from off season tournaments, talk to people that have seen them or hear about kids going to camps.

That is amazing.  I'm glad to hear it.  No matter what he does it will be great to see him compete again.

Yes, I try to find as many results as possible, although they have been few and far between this summer.  But I also get lots of input from all sorts of people around the state (coaches, wrestlers, parents, and fans).  Usually, unless there are results to cause it, the only reason a guy will go down is if a better wrestler moves into the weight or he moves up in weight.

hey these rankings are pretty good but Preston shoopman has beatin ethan witt every time they wrestlesd do some one needs to change the 152 rankings becouse ethan witt should not be ranked higher than Preston shoopman if Preston has beat him every time they wrestled

Shoopman has to make it to state before he can place.  I'm not sure what happened to him at region.  All I know is he finished 6th while Whitt went on to win a couple matches at state.  We can go around and around all day about how this guy beat that guy and this guy beat that guy, but in the end who is going to get the job done and win matches at state.  That's what I am ranking here.

Blanford - if you are that concerned about it why not send a pm and ask me.  That's how you get things adjusted if they are needed.

Good lord kid, all you do is talk about Preston Shoopman. He MIGHT one day be on the rankings when he makes leaps and bounds and shows something at state or a decent tournament. Every single time rankings are released you talk about him.

I beat Ethan Whitt too. He is a good wrestler but ranked a little higher than I think he needs to be.

Ranger, it would be cool if everyone who wanted to be ranked higher could meet at an open mat and wrestle someone that is ranked at their weight and use those results to make your adjustments.
