eaglewrestler12 2 Report post Posted February 17, 2007 What are you talking about, he's #7, getting a medal. What do you want, #2? I think he will lose to Poulton in the quarters and then wrestle back to get 7th. He could definitely win another match and get 5th or 6th, but I don't think I'm that far off. Scoring on Warner does not equate to beating everyone else in the state. Davis is good, but I think his lack of experience will catch up with him in the big matches at state.I thought Poulton was gonna beat Davis?

thelowseed 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2007 OK, I know I have been slow, but here they are. These are based on how far I think guys will go in the bracket, so just because you finished ahead of someone at region does not mean you are ahead of him below. Quite often a higher regional finisher gets a tougher draw. I'll be the first to admit, these are just a bunch of words on a website and don't mean much. It is up to the wrestlers to decide it on the mat. So for all of the wrestlers on the site, have a read and enjoy, but focus on the wrestling. Don't get caught up in all of the debating and concern over where you are ranked. Leave that up to us old guys. You get to prove it on the mat. I apologize for missing a couple kids' first names. I am out of time for today, but will edit them asap. 103Sen Elliott Martin 11SK Robbie Vaughn 10Tri Myron Bradbury 9Ryle Michael Osbourne 9Un Co Jarvis Elam 11FC Tommy Warren 9Let Co Cen Dakota Kincer ridge45 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2007 I was rather impressed with Brad Hitchings at 152. I was suprised when he beat Sheehan. He's young and will probly be a top contender in the next few years.
Ranger123 43 Report post Posted February 20, 2007 I thought Poulton was gonna beat Davis?Probably should have waited a few hours before making that post. I give Davis a lot of credit; he wrestled great. You Eastern guys just need to relax a little or get some medication and not get so offended about every post. Ranger123 43 Report post Posted February 20, 2007 i told everybody to watch out for Bailey but everybody just kept under-estimating him.... now look where he is state finals baby..... How is predicting him to be #4 such an under-estimation? If I took out Burdin I had the winner of the Fuller/Bailey match at #2 and the loser at #3.

wrestlingfanatic 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2007 what would need to be done to possibly turn these into the official coaches rankings? or maybe just a cooperation between ranger123 and coach coomes (i believe he does them?) and i think maybe these rankings should be announced at state... just a thought... but then again maybe having two rankings gives more discussion... maybe those rankings should have a spot on here... who knows... Ranger123 43 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 the collaboration between the 2 i meanNot gonna happen with the current leadership. Maybe when we get some new blood in the coaches association. Do they ever have elections or is it a dictatorship?
Mathound 4 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 Ranger123 is right, this isn't going to happen. However, what we can DO is make sure we get our rankings out at tournaments etc as flyers so that our fans can have them for each match. Give them to the Tournament Director. Ask him to announce the rankings as they are wrestling... anything to create interest will help out our rankings. I have been told before next season. They feel he has also been doing a good job with the rankings and would be a win-win for all sense he is already doing them. Ranger123 43 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 Speaking of board members and coaches in general...As I talked to a number of coaches over the last couple weeks I heard a lot of good things about Coach McCoy of Lafayette and Coach Smith of North Hardin. These guys are doing a lot to open up lots of opportunities for kids. And not just their own, but kids all around their area and the state. Not to mention they are building some pretty good programs. Keep up the good work guys!
