I belive they use a schedule where if you lose the 1st round you cannot place higher than 8th.

It becomes three brackets.

1.  1st round losers bracket

2.  Championship bracket

3.  Championsip losers bracket.

or something like that.  The 5 match rule does not happen.

They are using the three bracket system, they did that last year also. I kinda think this rule should change to 6 matches because in a 16 man bracket, you always seem to need exactly 6 matches to get third if u lost in the first or second round

well thats will take forever and the gym with be even more packed than it was at JEfferson county

Hence the reason KCD has pulled out of the tournament in favor of an extended practice instead... when you're sitting around in a gym all day, productivity starts dropping off.

MVW has to come from either the 130 or 152 wt class these two are the most stacked. IMO

For the most part, I like the predictions.  Kraft beating Eck and Ervin may be a little bit of a stretch, but not impossible.  I think Choate beats Wolfe at 160 but we'll see if that happens or not.  I would like to see another match between Nickel and Baker at 215.  The last time they met, Nickel won 5-3 on a takedown in literally the last second.  It should be the same this time if they were to meet again.  I would also like to see another re-match between Rupp and Florence.  That was a great finals match at Jefferson County.
