who is surprisingly not going to wrestle at state?
Teresa Baker replied to littleschool130's topic in 2007 Season
Ranger 123, is Cooper really out for sure because of the knee injury? I hope it is just a rumor. My sympathy to him and his family if it is true. I feel your pain. Happened to my son two years in a row. (once in the region finals with a good state draw to boot). If it is true, then buy him a bunch of pizza and cheeseburgers. Food slightly eased the heartbreak and pain after 5 months of cutting weight. -
The opening ceremonies are neat. And the introduction under the spotlight before the final round is exciting. Larue County did this for their region two finals and it was awesome. I've been to alot of region tournaments, and this was the best. Larue really outdid themselves with the keepsake programs, opening ceremonies, and finals introductions.

Whatever happened to Meisner from Southern?

I see where Dockery got first and Wesley got second at 215. Who placed third and forth?

I don't think you can call Nickel overrated when he won the Big East, The Mustang Classic and got MOW, and took second at KOB. He is a good wrestler and has great intensity and enthusiasm when he wrestles. I think Dockery is awesome. At this point I don't think the rankings mean much, because now in the homestretch, getting your hand raised in the end, in order to advance is all that matters. It's do or die. No slam against Ranger 123. I've really enjoyed his rankings, and can personally say he has increased my interest in this forum and wrestling in general. Job well done! -
Coty Lewis from Woodford County last year. Was second in region and won state.
-
I think it was 6-4. I believe it was tied 4-4 and Shipp was awarded a takedown in the last second as they tumbled out of bounds... The North crowd went ballistic... The regular season is done. Not a big deal between the route that the #1 and #2 seeds in region have to take at this point. What happens next is what really matters. Hoping for a good draw for all the North Hardin guys at state. ha!

Results from North Hardin Quad meet on Wednesday
Teresa Baker replied to kdsmith27's topic in High School Results
I think someone said Josh Young was out last night because of a hurt foot. Rojas looked good. Eck never looked worried. He doesn't care about racking up alot of points. He does just enough to win, in alot of his matches. But it was an all out effort by both. I believe Rojas is just a freshman, so he will be a force to be reckoned with in future years. -
I agree with what I-pinned-them-all and enthusiast wrote in reference to Josh Johnson. Also, don't forget he beat Luna last weekend. Anyone that overlooks and underestimates Josh Johnson in a match, will find themselves in the consolation round.

The Larue and North Hardin match of Embree and Dow I am referring to, was in last year's region finals.
-
Actually "controversial" was too strong a word to use. I should have said "disputable". It was on a last second takedown. Don't want to start a pissing contest with Larue. The win went in Shipp's column and that ends that discussion. All that matters now, is what happens in region. No hard feeling against Shipp. Heck, we all want those calls to go in our favor. I am a big fan of Larue's Joe Embree, and felt like the takedown call in overtime that Steven Dow got was too close to call. Steven may have still prevailed later, and I was proud of Steven, but I felt bad for Joe. Just hate when a call is "disputable."

No problem, Hardknox07. Controversial call in the Shipp/Baker match earlier this season, but hey a win is a win and Shipp will get the number 1 seed. I predict a battle in the finals, because Shipp is no slouch. You just got to rack points up, so one call by a ref doesn't do you in. Easier said, than done, I know....
