P4P and Grade Level Ranking

Recommended Posts

I've been itching to do this all day. FCHS you have me inspired.

Take it for what it is worth, I am a Northern Kentucky Homer and not afraid to admit it.

My only thing is if you are going to argue with me please provide validation for that arguement. I can admit when I am wrong and take it like a MAN!

Also if my stats are wrong just let me know. I am doing this all off of memory so I'm bound to have something incorrect. As I get correct information I can edit my post.

Also after looking analyzing the information I think KY's sophmore class is the of the strongest classes top-to-bottom I've seen come through KY in a long time. I can't wait to watch these young men develop and get even better!

Shirkey is headed to LaSalle OH !!!
D Lampe is legit I would have him Higher off of his record ,

Is Shirkey really moving to Ohio?

How did Leavell do at state last year?

Leavell finished 3rd at MS state..wouldn't be surprised if he made some noise at the HS level next year as an 8th grader

Yeah Diion lost a tough early match at state and stormed all the way back. Glad he wasn't afraid to follow USA wrestling guidelines and wrestle (say it ain't so) 6 matches.

Got to be around him a little in preparing for MS Team KY. Great kid. Wish him the best this season.

Ranger- what's ur take on the list? Anyone you would remove, add, etc...

I would say it looks very, very good. I haven't had a chance to nitpick and find kids who were left off. A few that I believe can be dropped are Chance Oxford and Hunter Ruber. All indications are that their wrestling careers are over.

I like looking at things this way especially in the off season. It is neat to see and compare the national accomplishments for so many ky kids. Just a few years ago we only had a handful of kids even competing nationally and now we are seeing that many kids bringing home hardware. The future is bright.

You could easily go 10 deep on those sophomores. And Caleb Austin is a tough kid as well that could easily be in the top 5.

Brock landed at number 5-

Fausz number 11-

Blackwell 15-

and Myers at 11- I think next year at some point we will see match ups between Fausz, Ervin, Blackwell, and Boston! Can't wait for that!

Got to admit, any of the combinations of those match ups would be awesome. Imagine a State semi final of Fausz vs Ervin and Boston vs Blackwell. I'd take Ervin and Boston to advance. Then in the finals, after its all said and done, my gut says Boston. Just my opinion. Any of the four could win it. Most likely, we won't see all 4 in the same weight class. It would be fun though. I'd love to hear some other thoughts, just for fun.

If Shirkey really is going to Ohio, anybody got any info about why?

This is just my opinion...His folks are originally from OH.  Maybe there are job opportunities are in OH. They want to be closer to who John's been training and receiving instruction from.  Great opportunity to wrestle an extremely good schedule.  Great school acedemically.  Many reasons.  Its not a 100% he's going anywhere, but those would be some reasons for relocating in my opinion.
