Ranger123 43 Report post Posted January 18, 2006 I'm going to start off my post this week with a brief editorial. How can we expect to increase the suppport of our sport and grow interest if we don't support it ourselves. This weekend was one of the better meets of the regular season, the 5 star classic, which featured 4 of my top 10 teams and numerous highly ranked individuals. BUT, as far as I can see, received absolutely no media coverage. At a minimum there should be a piece in the box scores if not an article discussing the great matchups, including top out-of-state competition. But no, we blow a chance to get our kids names in the paper and the recognition they deserve. I guess it is more important to save that space for the early rounds of the Australian Open or local bowling league scores. OK. Not many changes this week. Shake-ups at 135 and 140. Larue has moved into a dead heat with South Oldham for #2. As usual, thanks for all of the input and enjoy! 103 Way Co Travis Sullivan Un Co Adam Carr Wood Co Shane Parks Tri Dan Smith Whit Co Dalton Evans NO Andre Zeppa PD Jon Voth Lar Co Tritsten Hines Sen Elliott Martin Bull Cen Badgett Mc Cen Daniel Bowling SK Robbie Vaughn Ryle Casey Chitwood FC Tommy Warren SO Paul Huhnke Con TJ Bates Scott Steve Supe Cam Co Priscila Brownfield And Co Ben Joseph NH Brandon Wilder 112 Wood Co Coty Lewis JC Cory Spencer Eas Joaquin Luna Un Co Chance Puckett Way Co Coty Vinsant HC Matt Zarth Lar Co Lucas Carmen CH Mason Bradbury NH Josh Johnson NO Antonio Zeppa Doss Alan Marksbury Cam Co Korey Shotwell Scott Gabe Supe Tri Jacob Barton PRP J. KYVA84 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2006 Ranger123 These are pretty good but in the 145 weight class, didn't Mike Armstrong of Ballard get stuck in the finals for 7th place Saturday at the Big East by Chuck Layman of PRP?

PeaceMaker 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2006 It's my understanding that Tommy Warren of Fern Creek is no longer in the varsity line-up. J. Burkett was their 103 on Jan. 14 at the Knights' Classic in Aurora, IN. This came from Caleb Wood. Conner and Ryle were also there.
pld103 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2006 At 215 Hunter Ead from PLD beat the Doss guy by I think a major decision at Big East. He should be ranked a few spots higher.
eaglewrestler12 2 Report post Posted January 19, 2006 in my opinion, at 171, Jones(NH) and Ben Rupp(EAS) should be tied for 2nd because after the big east they are now tied 2-2 when they have wrestled. Jones beat Rup at OC duals and at big east, and Rupp beat Jones at Caldwell and Woodford Inv.

Jones beat Rup at OC duals and at big east, and Rupp beat Jones at Caldwell and Woodford Inv.[/quote'] The reason that Jones is 2nd is because he pinned Rupp both times. Rupp won his by decision. oghrdz1212 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 Mr. Ranger123, this ranking are pretty straight but i see two thing at 112. 1: Cory Spencer is wrestling at 103 this year. 2: the dude all the way at the bottom patrick lile beat #11 Alan Marksbury, #15 Josh higgs, and #19 Josh Burkett. other than that your rankings are pretty straight
E/R King 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 Might want to keep an eye out for Harrison County's 145. He has pinned both Muhammed and Quigley, in the first period if I'm not mistaken.
yeremeyk 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 152, trinity placed higher than both Caldwell, Holmes, North Hardin...who are all ranked above him, at big east tourney. manual beat Holmes at same tourney.
Allamerican125 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 I think Harrison's 145 is Corey Ward, He's tough, Bryan Ford from South Oldham only beat him 4-2 in a very close match, Ward should be up there in the rankings atleast top 10. I think he pinned Muhammed an Quigley in the first also.
Ranger123 43 Report post Posted January 21, 2006 oghrdz1212 - the current 112 rankings for these guys are based a lot on the Jeff Co. tournament. Coach Coomes sent out the brackets to all coaches (thanks Coach Coomes!!!). Burkett is now at 103. Lile lost to Higgs in the consilations and Marksbury turned it on. Big tournament results carry a lot more weight with me.
oghrdz1212 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2006 ranger123, Patrick beat Marksbury @ the Big east. he beat Higgs and prp duals, then lost to him at jefferson. and he beat burkett at woodford. but yeah your right thanks anyways.
