103- Elliot martin over Jarvis Elam

112- Cory Spencer over Cliff Cornett

119- Josh Johnson over Bryan Daniels

125- Coty Lewis over Tyler Voth

130- Matt eck over Isaac Ervin

135- Ben Warner over Josh Ashbrook

140- Bryan Peace over Malcolm Jackson

145- Harrison Courtney over Daniel Theunamen

152- Josh Cooper over Pat Banks

160- John Wolseifer over Scott Wheeler

171- Mason Reid over Ben Rupp

189- Mark Jones over Will Starks

215- Matt Green over Tyler Pace or Matt Baker

hwt- Matt Byrd over Billy fuller

some of these seem like long shots but I have faith. The Pace kid from Wayne co at 215 is Awesome to be a freshman.  The kid is animal strong and coach Upchurch seems to always have his big kids ready for state.  Other than him the only 215 that I have been impressed with is Matt Green, seems to be a hard worker, but watch out for Baker.

103-Jarvis Elam(Union)

112-Adam Carr(Union)

130-Isaac Ervin(Union)

152-Mitch Ervin(Union)

All have a good shot to be in the state finals, if they catch you sleeping you'll probably be in the losers bracket so watch out.

Are you guys serious with Jackson over Peace???  Some of you guys are saying thuenerman and courtney are the two of the best wrestlers in the state and Peace has already beat thuenerman twice, and both times he bumped up to wrestle him. Peace hasnt ran away from any competition and has wrestled the best which i why he is the best in his weight class this year hands down. Hasn't Peace already major. dec. Jackson twice this year? I respect everyones opinion but Peace might be one of the best if not the best pound for pound wrestler in the state!  Everyone hes been up against he has beaten, his one loss came at GMVCA where he lost to the kid from St. Paris Graham 6-3. And let me remind you that Graham is currently ranked 6th in the nation, the kids is pretty good, probably a state qualifier this year. And thuenerman recently beat a kid who placed 5th last year in Ohio in Division 3, so i think his match with courtney is going to go either way but i would put it in favor of courtney cause he's been there before and knows how to win close matches (i.e. with Banks and thuenerman)  Thats just my opinion thou

OK my long awaited ridiculous predictions of the finals in the state tourney.

103  Martin        12-2  Elam  (Martin will dominate anyone left at 103)

112  Sullivan      6-3    Carr

119  Wood          4-2    Parks  (I know an upset, but I think he will be ready at state)

125  Voth            8-4    Vincent

130  Eck            10-1    Brown

135  Warner        14-2    Stewart (Warner walks through this class)

140  Peace          8-2    Jackson (Peace is an animal)

145  Thuenerman  4-3    Courtney (Thuenermans time)

152  Cooper      10-2    Banks  (Cooper is unbelievable)

160  Wolsiefer    Pin      Choate (Wolsiefer will be extremely focused at state)

171  Reid          4-0      Rupp  (The one wt. class I am totally guessing at)

189  Jones        6-4      Starks  (Another upset call)

215  Watson      3-1      Green  (Watson is the best at this wt. class when he is on)

Hwt  Burdin      4-2      Young  (No Bird??? yes you heard it here first)

These are just my picks many of them are just gut feelings and I have no other reason to believe it.

There is no malice or grudges just gut picks.

Nice picks grappler.  Not too safe and not too crazy.

A few comments/questions:

103 you are picking Elam to get the win over Bradbury (opposite Martin as they are in same region)

112 99% will be picking this way

119 I like the pick, but just haven't seen if Wood is back to the Wood of old

125 picking Vinsant over Lewis, very possible

130 I think it is Eck vs. whoever is on the other side between (region 6 Brown/Shotwell) and Ervin

135 Warner against whoever gets the good draw on the other side

140 check

145 I still like Courtney, been there done that, while Thueneman still has to show he can step it up

152 check

160 check

171 Reid is the man here

189 good pick, will Starks be rested or rusty from his time off the mat?

215 like 119 really tough to call, depends on who shows up all 3 days

285 Young will need to step it up big time, seems he has been slumping, I like Byrd and Fuller

Alright so you guys that have ashbrooke over warner. get real, warner has beaten ashbrooke really bad this year from the matches i've heard. he's good but he's not going to beat warner. and then jackson over peace, once again peace has beaten jackson pretty badly the times i've seen them wrestle. you can pick upsets, but not miracles.

For one they have only wrestled once and that was at the HCIWT. Warner did beat him 12-1 but Ashbrook will be ready to go come state finals. Well see what happens.

When are the brackets coming? Martin and Bradbury can't be in finals,,,, right. Seen more of those predictions that I do not think can happen, they would be great matches in the champ round but, will happen earlier, not all of them can be perfect.

Because Martin and Bradbury are in the same region and will likely finish first and second in that region they will be on opposite sides of the bracket at state.  Therefore, they can meet in the finals, as long as they both win out.

How can you give Wolsiefer a 12 point win over choate, when the last time they wrestled, he only won by 3?
