Guest former_fc_wrestler Report post Posted June 14, 2006 Region 5: Tell me what you think and fill in the blanks 103: Brandon Whitehouse (South Oldham) 112: Joaquin Luna (Eastern) 119: Caleb Wood (Fern Creek) 125: Is Warner goin up? 130: Paul Marks (Eastern) 135: Blake Kraft (Eastern) 140: ? 145: Ben Barger (Fern Creek) 152: ? 160: Wolsiefer (Fern Creek) 171: Ben Rupp (Eastern) 189: ? 215: Deon Chaney (Fern Creek) 275: Josh Young (Oldham) Let's see if I can help fill in a couple of blanks. 140 Stewart (Fern Creek) 152 I hear Barger (Fern Creek) will be at 52 and Jackson (Fern Creek) will be at 45 189 Hardin (Fern Creek)? who else is going to be at that weight I won't argue the rest but I think either Burkett (Fern Creek) or Warren (Fern Creek) will give Whitehouse a run at 103. Ranger123 43 Report post Posted June 14, 2006 I think Burkett wins 103 and Houchens at 189 (Hardin 2nd).
pioneer_pride 1 Report post Posted June 14, 2006 Does Warren give Burkett a good match? Nothing against Warren, but I can't imagine that's a very close match. Burkett is very tough.

Ranger123 43 Report post Posted June 15, 2006 at 171 he wins state at 189 maybe he places' date=' he is good but he could make 171 easy has the weight to cut[/quote'] I think there are a few guys at 171 that would disagree, but this thread is talking about tops in region. I think Rupp will be #1 at 171 in the region.
Guest former_fc_wrestler Report post Posted June 15, 2006 I think Burkett wins 103 and Houchens at 189 (Hardin 2nd). Not knowing who else will be at 189, Houchens would take it easily, but I think he will go for the compitition in Rupp at 171. Three is right, I think he does have the weight to lose. Tommy and Josh are a pretty good match but Burkett wins, however I heard Josh hurt his arm playing baseball this year and he is getting really tall, he may have a hard time making 103. Teresa Baker 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2006 Houchens and Rupp would both have to get past Mark Jones, so I don't think either one winning at 189 is just a given. Both Houchens and Rupp are great, but Mark Jones is a force to be reckoned with and if I'm not mistaken, he has beaten both of the above at one time or another. Teresa Baker 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2006 I'm referring to state, and perhaps you were just referring to region finals. If so, I apologize.
eaglewrestler12 2 Report post Posted June 18, 2006 I was referring to region 5 finals, but while we are on that note, Ben Rupp and Mark Jones split matches this year 2-2, so it is not a given that Jones will beat Rupp
