Interesting day.  Union and Trinity both put 6 in the semis.  Johnson and Ervin was a great match.  Johnson had the lead the whole match until the end.  He was up by one and gave up a takedown with about 15 seconds left.  Houchens, Shotwell, and Johnson all fail to make finals again.  Shotwell Davis match was good, Davis seemed to be in control the whole time.  A lot of good match ups tomorrow!

This is the first time Johnson hasn't made finals since his freshman year, when he ran into Zarth in the semis.

I really thought Shotwell would win this one, but I'm not sure if he could ever get a takedown on davis after watching this match, seemed like he took a million shots and never really came close. Davis was too short and his stance is so low he couldn't get under him, and he's so fast that he couldn't get around him. How do you take that guy down?!? It was a pretty sweet match, both guys worked hard the whole time. Although my guy didn't win, I wasn't at all disappointed with this match.... accept for the fact that it wasn't under the lights.

Hate to say it but with Trinity-191.5 and 9 placers and Union-161 with 7 placers and Ryle-152 with 7 placers looks like Trinity will win their 1st state title since 1989, their 2nd overall.
