Broke Back Wrestler 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 I could see Vinsant making it to the finals easily. For now I see Zeppa and Wempe but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Vinsant or a list of other 125 lbers make the finals, its a very deep weight class. But for now Zeppa and Wempe are my picks. He's good but it will be a tuff uphill battle. Miller, Slone and Poulton will all be in the mix too! And Davis seems to lack technique!

MatMama 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 DC has beaten one good kid this year vinsant other than that he has not held his own against anyoneYes -- he's my wild card. You've got to throw a Joe Powers into the mix. And most people seem to think Davis is a long-shot, too. You have to make it interesting, or why bother? eaglewrestler12 2 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 DC has beaten one good kid this year vinsant other than that he has not held his own against anyoneNobody seems to have noticed that Evans wrestled just like this last year. He got beat by plenty of people last year during the season but turned up the heat at state. I'm sure he'll have his A-game at state.
ptwrestling1 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 do you honestly think Isaac Ervin will beat Harrison Courtney?...Isaac is good but Harrison is a beast.
MatMama 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 do you honestly think Isaac Ervin will beat Harrison Courtney?...Isaac is good but Harrison is a beast.Well, that one goes against the majority, too. However, Courtney hasn't wrestled much this season, so I really don't have much to judge by. And in my opinion, he should have lost a match at State last year, but there was bad officiating. pridewrestler 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 I too thought the Thuenaman match was bad judged.
eaglewrestler12 2 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 Also, Ervin has wrestled a much tougher schedule than Courtney and has been pretty dominant too.

old140 4 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 don't forget brown he is in the mix at 135 and i tihnk he will be the one to pull it off for the title I agree with you on this one. Browns my pick for 135. Why doesnt anyone give Voth a chance at 125. Hasn't he beat Zeppa this year?
Olympic_wish 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 I think it will be Zeppa and Voth in the finals. toss up to see who wins.
Ranger123 43 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 I'm sure I will miss something here, but off the top of my head:Wempe beat VothVoth beat ZeppaZeppa beat VinsantJohnson was hurt for a while and has been up and downMurphy beat ParksI don't think Bontrager has seen any of the top guys; I think he could be the wild card. (only loss)He has not wrestled Wempe, Murphy, Thomas, Evans or Bontrager this year
pld103 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 Voth has beat Johnson(pin),Parks(dec),Evans(pin),Engle twice(dec),Supe(major), Weckback twice(both techfalls), and Zeppa(dec). Only loss at 125 is Wempe(dec).
pridewrestler 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 Wempe beat Bontrager at takedown tournament and 5-0 at region 1 duals 2 weekends ago,
Ranger123 43 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 So based on all of that here are the only conclusions I can come up with:1) Wempe has the edge (no losses to KY kids) and has beat Voth and Bontrager2) Voth only lost to Wempe, but beat virtually everyone else3) Zeppa only lost to Voth, but beat everyone elseI think those guys are a half a step ahead of the field right now, but there are about half a dozen other guys who could easily get hot and win the title.
