DumpTruck 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 Jude's pin in the finals over Oldham County earned him the most outstanding wrestler honors from the tournament. Also, Spencer from Johnson Central was the winner at 112 with a good solid win over Capenter-Frasor. I am not sure what his name is, but the HWT from Tates Creek beat the JC heavyweight in the finals. It is also worth noting that the Oldham County 215 is a beast. Hats off to the folks at Tates Creek for a well-ran tournament. Here are some of the other place winners from Johnson Central:1st 112: Spencer130: Jude140: Grimm 145: Freeman 2nd215: Lowe285: Cantrell3rd103: Carr (lost by one to TC's Brown)

tc125 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2008 jj jude is only in 8th grade, but he is sixteen. and has been wrestling since he's been in 6th or 7th grade, so it's like his third year. still an impressive win beating morlatt, but he is far from an 8th grader. Old School 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2008 J.J. Jude is not 16 he just turned 15 last week. Hes is just a good wrestler! With JJ just turning 15 in eigth grade, will he not be eligble to participate as a senior (19) :?
grappler-of-old 44 Report post Posted January 9, 2008 If he turns 19 during the season I believe he is eligable. Meaning if he is 18 when the season starts Oct 15th he can compete.
pridewrestler 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2008 He should be able to wrestle his senior season. Kenny Manuel from Union was the same way, turned 19 during wrestling season.
grappler-of-old 44 Report post Posted January 9, 2008 Ok I was not totally correct. Here is the link. It states if you are 18 on or before August 1st. http://www.khsaa.org/handbook/bylaws/bylaw3.pdf
IgiveStitches 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2008 yeah thats ridiculous, from what I've heard, he has actually held himself back, so that way he could wrestle until he was 19, making his career that much greater, and the smart thing on his part was doing it in middle school.
