Region 3 Rankings 11/16/07

Recommended Posts

Alright, most of our scrimmages are over.  Only a few days until we hit the mats for real.  Once the season starts, all wrestlers will be numbered 1-whatever.  Remember, if you have your teams line-up or if you have changes to your line-up, let me know so I can make the changes.  Also when you tell me about your team, give me names and grades.

I hurt my back during a power lifting meet I was in. I am not cleared to wrestle yet. I have an appointment Monday at the Neurosurgical Institute of Kentucky and then see if I can wrestle or need surgery. BUT I plan on making it back as soon as possible. All the work I did this summer and the strength I have now I think this year was going to be a fun year. Especially working with Nickle and my good friend Bebop.  If it dosen't happen I will cheer on all the other 285's and wish them luck.

Gatsby does the rankings based on the returning wrestlers who competed in regionals last year.  Since Payne did not wrestle at regionals due to injury that is why he does not have a ranking number.  Once the season starts and we begin wrestling each other, he will start to change the rankings and I'm sure Payne will move up.

Calvin Ferguson (SOUT) pinned  NajJah Savery (PRP) 11 4 times on Wednesday  SO maybe he should be a lil bit higher

I am going to wait until after this upcoming weekend (12/1) to post the first regular season rankings.  By then I should have seen everyones line-up.  Next week I should have the line-ups of: Bullitt Central, DeSales, Doss, Meade Co., PRP, Shawnee, Southern and Valley.  If anyone has the line-ups of the following, it would be greatly appeciated: Fairdale, Holy Cross, Iroquois and Western.

Mark Monroe (DOSS) pinned Sonny Jeffries (Valley) in the 1st period in the 2006 Valley Invitational.

Last year/season Jarrid Pearson and Mark Monroe switched places over the 160 weight class for Doss due to certain problems. Also last season Sonny Jeffries did pin Jarrid Pearson at meet at Moore.

matmassacre, you're kidding me right?!  Besides Monroe is not wrestling this year unless he has his correspondence course taken and passed the test by this Friday per the athletic director.  You should been in contact with me sooner!

We only had 7 wrestle Wednesday, but we have more than that.  Due to body fat testing, academic issues & math lab yesterday we only took 7 to the JH quad.  We won't be up to full strength for about another 3 weeks, which seems to be the case for most teams.

Concur, didn't see or missed the results.  Region three will get better and better as all the programs grow and get depth.
