I didn't get quite as much feedback as I wanted this week, so I'm sure there will be much to update in the next few days, but things continue to evolve and there are lots of rumors out there that I have not reflected (I'm waiting on confirmation).

Since you did not get much feed back I wanted to share I think you have  Don Phillips  PRP a little high in the 135 - I have seen him lose to Southern and either Sou is better than anyone thinks or maybe Phillips is a little high?  And really I am sure you can make the same argument for allot of wrestlers.

The tough thing I see with this weight, especially after the top 5 or 6 is lack of consistency.  I gave Phillips the nod this week because he stepped it up in a tournament format.  If 2 guys split (dual and tournament), I give the temporary advantage to the tournament winner.  Thanks for the info.

Fern Creek beat Trinity rather soundly at the KOB.. I know you have your own point scoring system, I'm just sayin though.

I wouldn't say 19 points is rather soundly.  Especially considering Whiting wasn't there.  And those Trinity freshman will likely keep getting better with experience and the confidence they gained this weekend.

You also have Moore and Vally listed above Southern - and Southern tied Moore head to head and was ahead of Valley at KOB -just curious thanks for other clarification - I think that these discussions help everyone to understand the whole ranking process.

you have matt o'bryan on there twice 119 and 125 i believe, what about rashad brown is he not wrestling in one of those spots?

Thanks for catching that.  Sometimes I get moving guys around too quickly in my spreadsheet and forget to delete them from the old spot.

well i would ask why im moving down on the list but i guess that my not making weight has alot to do with it great job

Yes, you have to get that mat time.  Practice is good, but there is no substitute for real live wrestling.  And Bailey wrestled well at LIT.

You are right ranger Trinity was without whiting and 2 time state qualifier watkins at 135,also Kelley ranked at 130 and not to mention no heavy weight with those wrestlers Trinity might have won the KOB? I feel Trinity ranked ahead of ern creek is justified!

Good questions.  Dual scores can be quite different as mentioned before.  Valley has the potential to score a lot of points with Edwards, Raleigh, and Smith (if he makes weight, ha ha) at state.  Southern has decent talent as a team, but doesn't have those individuals that look like they can place at state right now.  And that is what my team rankings are based on, state tournament scores.

First of all, nice job on the rankings ranger, your hard work is greatly appreciatied. I believe most of your rankings are very accurate, i just did some research with your rankings and found this, and would like your opinion please.

#3 trinity and #4 Fern Creek... According to your rankings (which are directly related to how well a team does at state) Trinity has 11 ranked wrestlers and Fern Creek has 12, each team has seven wrestlers ranked to place in the top 8 at state, but of those seven wrestlers Fern Creeks are ranked higher ( Trinity: #2,#3,#4,#4,#5,#7,#8 and Fern Creek:#1,#3,#3,#5,#6,#6,#6). From a mathematical sense: trinity: 2+3+4+4+5+7+8:33, Fern Creek 1+3+3+5+6+6+6:30... the lower number representing an overall higher place.

I'm in no way saying your rankings are incorrect ranger, i greatly appreciate you doing these rankings for kentucky wrestling. Just in my opinion with these points in mind i believe Fern Creek is #3

Nice.  I'm seeing a little Fern Creek, Trinity rivalry it looks like.  I kind of like it.

Everyone better get use to seeing Trinity win, because they have some young talent and it looks like a couple team state titles are coming their way soon.  Hitchings and company has done a good job over the past couple of years building that thing.  Sorry for getting off topic.

Nice, I like the in depth analysis.  But, I go beyond the top 8 placers and include those guys that only win a match or two.  By the way, they were very close in my scoring, virtually a tie.

i came in at 4th at the king of the bluegrass why did i drop out of the rankings

Houston Lundy and Ross Engle jumped into the rankings at 125, so 2 guys had to drop off.  Not sure you were one of them, but you are just outside the top 20 right now.  WCI is 2 weeks away.  There's your chance to see a bunch of these guys and shake it up.
