Hello all, I wrestled in high school for three years (senior year at conner) and continued my career independently through open tourneys and will hopefully be at OU in a year wrestling for them. I recently picked up boxing and it seems to relate alot to wrestling for ex. the jab is almost similar in a sense to putting your hand in the opponents face or even shucking them to the ground just to set them up for your main move... Was wanting to know everyones take on the relation between the two.

I know Kyle Terry from OU, He was a state champ the high school i help out at, hes a beast... I honestly dont see kyle making finals this year but its awesome that he is there.

when was the new OT rule implied? Cause in 05 i went into sudden death with Voth and loss on a locking hands point... just wandering

I totally agree, I was there in January (the time of the year to really crack down) and the only thing most of the guys were doing was playing around. Almost all of them kept talking trash like they could do something and they were just a flop. hell i even offered to stay after and help them but it seems like no one has heart on that team anymore. I seriously think 1-2 yrs they will be a strong program again only if someone does step up. The 05 wrestling cougars was a very powerful team... we had adversity, heart, skill, and a brotherhood among us... we had a solid core : myself, stanley, delk, smith, lageman, and dale. But we all offered the team something personally whether it was a laugh or some serious poundage down your throat training.

you have matt o'bryan on there twice 119 and 125 i believe, what about rashad brown is he not wrestling in one of those spots?
