Yes it is, and not sure if all are confirmed.  I'll be running computer for Coach Gardner. I know we will be doing a bracket format where if you lose 1st rd, you can only come back to 7th. Hopefully we can get it in.

106/108

Adam Bender-(Lexington Catholic)-unbreakable strength for a 106. If he gets wrist control you are getting tilted and probable teched.

Kaleb Sapp-(Ohio Co.)-tough kid with a lot of experience. Team has traveled all over the state. Will this be the year it all comes together…

Blake Roth-(Walton-Verona) his improvement has coincided with the meteoric rise of the Bearcat program.

Tom Ketchen-Carter (Campbell Co.)-not sure if he is at middle school. Beat him now if you can. In a couple of years he won’t be losing many matches

113/115

Tanner Yenter (Campbell Co.)- It’s his to lose.

Gentry Deck (Madison Central)-could he potentially be Madison Central first champion at state…

Isaiah Macaranaig(Walton-Verona)-young scrappy wrestler looking to make some memories.

Om Phe (Doss)-newcomer to the scene. Has posted strong results early on.

120/122

Ryan Moore(Walton-Verona) took Ervin to the limit in a 9-7 loss cementing his place as a contender.

Brady Wells (Campbell Co.)-gets a chance to prove he is Region 6’s top dog.

Adam Yashinto (Doss)-has quietly compiled another solid season.

Jake Insko (Apollo)-ranked highly at 113 he’s been at 120 all year. Is he going to drop…

126/128

Dante Castellano(Simon Kenton)-most improved wrestler in the state.

Derrick Soper(Bryan Station)-needs to come on strong here at the end of the year.

Dakota Lillie(Campbell Co.)-win over Peace earlier this year puts him in the driver seat for seeding purposes. Likely means Peace ends up as the 4 seed and a date with Castellano in the semis.

Amen Alshemary (Doss)-gets this spot by virtue over his win against Davis from LaRue Co. Might we see round 2 of that matchup…

132/134

Braden Wyatt (Bourbon Co.)-looks to prove he is podium worthy.

Louie Regalado (Fort Campbell)-they aren’t coming ½ way across the state to stand idly by.

Salim Mardis(Simon Kenton)-strong wrestler from a strong program.

Will Keeney(Madison Central)-get a chance to see what he’s got here.

138/140

Bryan Spahr (Campbell Co.)-highest ranked wrestler here, should be victorious if he wrestles to potential.

Alex Curl(Fort Campbell)-see above

Noah Davis (Larue Co.)-really stepped up his game recently.

Brady Gibson(Tates Creek)-can he live up to his ranking this week…Saw some fire against Johnson Central…let’s see.

145/147

Mason Smith (Walton-Verona)-should cement place as a state title contender here.

Jerome Jones (Doss)-hopefully we get to see a Smith/Jones final.

Dalton Bell(LaRue Co.)-gets the nod over Eqal due to a head to head win.

Rawleigh Richardson(J-Town)-beat Bell at 152 but has struggled at 145.

152/154

Max Powell (Doss)-impressive resume, looks to put a nice notch in his belt.

Noah Hammond (Walton-Verona)-another solid kid from a good program.

Spencer Carpenter (Simon Kenton)-did Simon Kenton’s schedule pay off…now’s a time to find out.

Jermaine Barber (Scott Co.)-grand athlete, needs to add to arsenal if he wants to place. This is a great chance.

160/162

Matthew Munoz(Dixie Heights)-only ranked 13th in state. In my opinion he will place. Under ranked for sure.

Jared Statdtmiller (Campbell Co.)-tough, always wrestles hard.

Cruz Murphy (Boyle Co.)-good tough wrestle. Has shown improvement.

Cubaka Mutayongwa (Tates Creek)-had to go track to spell his name. Kid has game. Watched him for the first time against Johnson Central. Here’s his chance to prove he belongs.

170/172

Casey Cornett (Simon Kenton)-sole focus on wrestling has led to infinite improvement.

Chris Morrow (Madison Central)-typical Coach Watts wrestler (this is a very good thing). He wrestles tough. Get’s a chance to prove he belongs (excited for the potential final here)

Aaron Valentine (Franklin Co.)-one of his last opportunities to wrestle in his own gym…Can he claim a title…

Nathan Prosser (McCreary Central)-gets a chance to show what he has in a stacked field.

182/184

Matt Steven (Larue Co.)-owns a win over Josh Robbins from Boyle.

Josh Robbins (Boyle Co.)-good wrestle took a couple of L’s in a tough Tennessee tourney over the weekend. Looks to rebound here.

Randy Norris(Apollo)-tough kid. Exposure to top level competition here will improve his chances at region.

Seamus Sallee (Danville)-will he debut this week…That is the 1,000,000 $ question.

195/197

Brett Graziani (Campbell Co.)-can’t be deceived by the record. Campbell Co. wrestles one of the toughest schedules in state.

Caleb Boyles-(Anderson Co.)-has really improved under the tutelage of his new coach. Very strong.

Steven Brown (Doss)-team doesn’t travel very far. Hard to know what to expect. Record is very impressive.

Hamilton Young (Danville)-looking to represent region 7 on the podium this year.

220/222

Kairus Washington (Dixie Heights)-not the highest ranked kid here. He’s faced the best competition and I expect it to pay off.

Damoreon Travis(J-Town)-young wrestler learning the sport. I expect him to figure it out and place this year at state.

Ben Fooks(Bourbon Co.)-shaking off the injury bug, hopefully shones this week.

Jordan Akihary (Madison Central)-youngest of the ranked 220’s. He’ll continue to get better if he wroks hard.

285/287

Lawrence Malala(J-Town)- very defensive wrestler at heavy. Expect a low scoring match. Always in a position to win.

Corbin Couch (Madison Central)- grown a lot between So./Jr. year. Just now getting into mat shape.

JJ Mendes (Bourbon Co.)-tough above average athlete at heavy. To win the tourney you’ll have to beat him.

Hunter Ruber(Walton-Verona)-hasn’t wrestled a lot this year. If he’s here he’s tough.

I don’t know if Jeff, IN is bringing their varsity. If they do, they will contend for the title. If it is their B team, They might have a couple place. With that being said this tournament on paper looks to be Walton-Verona’s to lose. Campbell Co. is going to be a strong contender as well.

Team Race

1.       Walton-Verona

2.       Campbell Co.

3.       Simon Kenton

4.       Madison Central

5.       Doss

6.       LaRue Co.

7.       Dixie Heights

8.       Tates Creek

9.       Jeffersontown

10.   Apollo

No Jeff as I don’t know which team will be there.

Thank you for thinking of 182 Seamus Sallee. Unfortunately, this will not be his debut weekend. He is rehabing well but he had both meniscus and his ACL repaired. Even though he is rehabing great, and weighing in, it is unlikely he will be able to return to the mat before Spring. We have appreciated all the support from our wrestling friends, coaches, refs, and parents. He is trying to stay involve, support his team and stay positive through his recovery.

Tough injury to overcome. Hope it all works out and he's able to get out and compete again.

I believe Bryan took 1st at the Hammer and Anvil  tournament last weekend in Brown Co. Ohio.

I do not know young Mr. Sallee but I will pray that he has a speedy and complete recovery.
