I'm going to be direct some people really impressed me this week (Sells, Cunningham, all of Calloway) while others performed below my expectations. But I'm just the rankings guy, don't worry about my feelings. There's a saying that you learn more from a loss then you do from a win, so everyone who had tough weeks just use your losses to develop as wrestlers and come back even stronger. 106 1. Saul Ervin, Union County (113) 2. Kaleb Sapp, Ohio County (1) 3. Edward Agulto, Christian County (UR) 4. Kaleb Hammons, Caldwell County (2) 5. Ray Hamilton, Paducah Tilghman (4) 6. James McDow, Hopkinsville (5) Dropped Out- Griffie, Christian; Pride, Union Saul Ervin makes his cut down and Agulto returns to 106 are the two highlights this week. 113 1. Luis Regaldo, Fort Campbell (2) 2. Micah Ervin, Union County (120) 3. Daniel Knight, Christian County (3) 4. Dakota Himes, Ohio County (4) 5. Austin Zeppes, Calloway County (5) 6. Dale Robertson, Hopkinsville (6) Dropping Out- None Even though Micah Ervin wasn't at sectional duals, from my understanding he is the 113 going forward so I plugged him in here. Regaldo gets the nod as a returning state place but Micah is an Ervin. 120 1. Bryce Sheffer, Union County (126) 2. Alex Curl, Fort Campbell (2) 3. Jacob Bellah, Calloway County (6) 4. Devontae Turner, Trigg County (3) 5. Froilan Agulto, Christian County (4) 6. Cameron Dearmond, Hoptown (5) Dropping Out- None Big week turned in by Bellah with a win over Turner. Curl continues to be the hot hand coming out of Fort Campbell but with Sheffer cutting down I don't expect him to see the top of the podium going up against one of the state's best. As of right now Agulto and Turner will have a tough battle for 4th, but 2nd-5th is all very close. 126 1. Jeremiah Kline, Trigg County (2) 2. Daniel Dyess, UHA (3) 3. Scott Ruttman, Calloway County (132) 4. Camerin Cole, Christian County (4) 5. Rylan Ervin, Union County (132) 6. Zach McCoy, Ohio County (5) Dropping out- Eggers, Fort Campbell With Ruttman and Ervin both cutting down I wasn't quite sure where to put them in the order, I settled on this one for now. 132 1. Chance Oxford, Union County (138) 2. Chance Collins, UHA (1) 3. Jack Haynes, Calloway County (138) 4. Colin Stevens, Trigg County (4) 5. Kestin McClain, McCracken County (5) 6. Gideon Ellison, Fort Campbell (6) Dropping Out- none A couple weight changes, unsure who McCracken is sending out, and a fairly barren 5 down are the highlights this week for 132. 138 1. BJ Miller, Ohio County (1) 2. Derek Miller, Paducah Tilghman (2) 3. Tim Pike, Union County (145) 4. Logan Thomas, Calloway County (145) 5. Dalton Putty, UHA (4) 6. Diion Leavell, Christian County (5) Dropped Out- None 138 is now a very tough weight, 1-6 is filled with either returning state qualifiers or just plain tough wrestlers. Don't put a lot of stock in the current order because like 126 I wasn't quite sure where to put the wrestlers who just dropped down. 145 1. Kobe Perry, Christian County (1) 2. Nicholas Walls, Calloway County (152) 3. Malik Cunningham, Trigg County (5) 4. Corbin Ryder, Fort Campbell (2) 5. Braden Sperry, Caldwell County (6) 6. Evan Martin, McCracken County (UR) Dropping Out- none Ryder had a very rough sectional duals and it drops him to 4th. Walls cuts down to 145 and secures that second position with a win over Cunningham. 152 1. Jackson Oxford, Union County (1) 2. Dylan Gray, Caldwell County (2) 3. Ivan Lawson, Hoptown (4) 4. Mario Perez, Calloway County (160) 5. Josh McCoy, Ohio County (5) 6. Christian Barefield, UHA (6) Dropping Out- none Perez cuts down and that is about all I really noticed this week 160 1. Kenneth Sells, Christian County (2) 2. Nate Williams, Hoptown (1) 3. Avery Buckman, Union County (170) 4. Will Crabtree, UHA (4) 5. Alex Hideg, McCracken County (5) 6. Jaishon Faishon, Trigg County (6) Dropping Out- none This time around Sells picks up the upset and moves into first. Buckman drops down from 170 making the top 3 at 160 very tough. Other then that I didn't see anything, but feel free to let me know of any missed results 170 1. Isaiah Lawson, Hoptown (3) 2. Keyven Sells, Christian County (4) 3. Gino Haywood, Fort Campbell (2) 4. David Woods, Calloway County (5) 5. Seth Estes, McCracken County (6) 6. Ryan Hedrick, Union County (UR) Dropping Out- None It's pretty tough dropping a guy who has hung with the top of Tennessee for nearly half the year but Haywood lost, if he wants the spot back then he can beat the guys above him. Any results I missed with 4 and below let mek now 182 1. Xavier Pate, Christian County (1) 2. Kane Morris, Union County (2) 3. Conner Keenan, Fort Campbell (3) 4. Cody Jackson, Calloway County (195) 5. Tige Littlefield. Caldwell County (4) 6. Katayvon Anthony, Hoptown (6) Dropping Out- Parker, Ohio I think with Buckman dropping Morris will be dropping to 170 soon, but we will see when it actually happens. Anthony picks up a win over Parker and Jackson cuts to 182. 195 1. Cole Sherman, Union County (1) 2. Phil Bradley, UHA (2) 3. Eugene Butler, Hoptown (3) 4. Dylan Marlow, Ohio County (5) 5. Anthony Adkinson, Fort Campbell (6) 6. Josh Efinger, Calloway County (UR) Dropping Out- none Not much I saw to report. 220 1. Conner Sherman, Union County (1) 2. Zach Farris, Ohio County (2) 3. Colby Culver, Calloway County (3) 4. Chance Orr, Paducah Tilghman (4) 5. Marcus Green, Christian County (UR) 6. Ben McGregor, Caldwell County (5) Dropping Out- Bruce, Hopkinsville Green cuts down to 220, looks good 285 1. Raynel Brown, Union County (1) 2. Luke Shaffer, Ohio County (2) 3. Andrew Lee, McCracken County (3) 4. David Nikolao, Fort Campbell (4) 5. Logan Thomas, Hopkinsville (5) 6. Mahlon Ray, Christian County (UR) Dropping Out- Catlett, Trigg Catlett hasn't wrestled for awhile so he drops out. Team 1. Union County (46) pay up 2. Christian County (25) Christian County looks very good right now and seems to have a very firm grip on the second spot. 3. Ohio County (17) Still very consistent performances from Ohio from what I've seen 4. Calloway County (16) I've said it before, but Coach Walls is one of the savviest guys in the region in getting his kids to the right weights to get them to state. Calloway had a very good week which allows them to squeak just above Fort Campbell. 5. Fort Campbell (15) I sound like a broken record but with Fort Campbell you're never quite sure which team will show up. Since the early 2000's you either get a team that performs far beyond expectations or falls far short of expectations, no middle ground. Williams dropping to second keeps Hoptown just out of the top 5. UHA continues to show their strength as a tournament team.
