Trophies & Awards: Trophies will be provided for 1st-3rd place teams. An award (Dan Roberts Memorial Award) will be presented to the wrestler of the day, as voted on by coaches. T-Shirts: Tournament t-shirts will be available for purchase in the lobby of the school. T-Shirts will be made upon purchase and will be customizable (name, pins, weight class, etc) with the Charles Cantor Tournament logo on Front. Base Price will be $10 each.Customization will be extra. Tournament Set up: There will be two pools of 5 teams. In each pool, all schools will face one another to determine the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers from each pool. The 1st place teams from both pools will compete for 1st & 2nd place overall and the 2nd place teams from each pool will face for 3rd and 4th place overall. Two mats will be used during this tournament, with a schedule provided to each team upon arrival.

Doss High School in Louisville will be hosting a 16-team dual tournament on December 1st, 2018. This tournament used to be called Dixie Duals, but we are rebranding in order to branch outside of Dixie Highway. We are expanding this year to 16 teams and anyone is welcome. I've attached a flyer and the first view of the partially finished plaque we are having made for the winner. Any chance we can update the open mat schedule around Kentucky and off season tournaments nearby? I'd like to open up Fern Creek one night a week (looking at Tuesday or Wednesday), but I'd like to see what else is going on. I'd like to have a night for youth and another for middle/high. Anyone else? Tournament of Champions in Ohio is set for 4/21/2018. We are looking at hosting an off-season tournament the week before or after. Anyone know of other tournaments coming up?

2017 Ed Cressel Classic (32 Team Tournament)

The 2017 Ed Cressel Classic will take place at Virginia High School in Bristol, VA on January 13 & 14. This year we are doing a two day format and switching to a 32 man double elimination bracket. We have a premiere facility to host a tournament of this size. The top 8 wrestlers will receive awards and will be giving out unique awards to the winners of each weight class. Top 3 teams will receive a plaque and there will be 2 most outstanding wrestler awards given (upper and lower weights). We do a great job of running tournaments and if you have any questions about our ability I have several coaches you may contact to ask their opinion: Tim Marshal (Head coach at Tennessee High, Kevin Spurlin (Head coach at Galax) and Michael Bell (Robert E. West Henderson High School, located in Western North Carolina, is looking for 1-2 strong Kentucky teams to add to the field of our Falcon Frenzy tournament. Our tournament is the largest and most well run tournament in Western NC and hosts teams from NC, TN, SC, and VA. We host 28 teams, holding our finals under the spotlight on our 56'x67' "monster mat." We run a JV tournament alongside our varsity tournament on Saturday. Parents, Coaches, Please include the Grade School Coaches Classic on your schedule. It is on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Courts 4 Sports in Mason. Here is a link to the flyer. This is the 4th running of this tournament and as usual, it will be run well, and provide top level local competition as well as some out-of-towners. Trophies will be awarded for the top 4 placers.
