the 112 for John Hardin was Alex Murphy who is an unranked 8th grader

the 130 for JH was Jordan Murphy (beat whitehouse of SO 6-0 in finals)

the 152 champ was Trint Webb of JH (beat kid from Lawrence Co 14-6 in finals

the 171 for JH was Aaron Newsome, he pinned in the finals in like 20secs

Alex should have defienataly got MOW after coming in unranked, beating the #2 kid in the state in the semi's and pinning in the finals

"Alex Murphy (unranked, unseeded, 8th grade) should have got the MOW".

Beat the (#1 seeded, #2 ranked in state, 12 grade).

"Close match, but he won it ALL"

Nicklel should have won, and the 8th grader did!

Who was above on that day!!! Not who was off or should have did better. The coaches need to think about what happen on that day!!!

Alright, if you are going by that criteria, then it should have been Ricky Wright.  He had an exceptional day.  He won the 145 weight class and pinned through the whole tournament in the 1st period.  Those 1st period pins included Billy Cahill who is ranked 9th at the 140 weight class and Kevin Porter who I believe is ranked in the top 8 at the 145 class.  That is why I voted for Ricky Wright and Derek is my guy.

Believe me, I am taking nothing away from Alex Murphy.  For that matter, I am taking nothing away from the John Hardin light and middle weights.  I have seen them twice already this season and I am very impressed with them.  They are the best team we have seen so far this season and that includes North Hardin and Seneca.  Whatever Coach Lindsey is doing, it is working.  I just think the most dominant and outstanding performance belonged to Ricky Wright.  Derek would even tell you he didn't wrestle well and should have not received MOW & that is with 3 pins and a major decision.  Anyway, enough on this topic.  Next.
