Controversial call in the Shipp/Baker match earlier this season, but hey a win is a win and Shipp will get the number 1 seed. I predict a battle in the finals, because Shipp is no slouch. Teresa Baker 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2007 Actually "controversial" was too strong a word to use. I should have said "disputable".It was on a last second takedown. Don't want to start a pissing contest with Larue.The win went in Shipp's column and that ends that discussion. All that matters now, is what happens in region. No hard feeling against Shipp. Heck, we all want those calls to go in our favor. I am a big fan of Larue's Joe Embree, and felt like the takedown call in overtime that Steven Dow got was too close to call. Steven may have still prevailed later, and I was proud of Steven, but I felt bad for Joe. Just hate when a call is "disputable." Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Charger Coach 14 Report post Posted January 31, 2007 I have to agree with Mrs. Baker. I think Matt will take the regional championship as well. Our 215 has faced him twice with both being good matches. Matt is not a flashly wrestler but he always seems to keep it close and get the job done in the end. He's had a few tough losses this year and that will only make him better in the long run. He'll find a way to get the job done in the Regional finals as well. NCHSHWT 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 Yes that was Pile wrestling him wed. night. I wasnt wrestling because of a knee injury and just trying to make sure im 100% for regionals. As for HWT, it will be close between Bailey and Embree. If Bailey comes out strong, i give him the advantage, but if he waits back he could be in trouble if they stay on there feet the whole match. I also think Ballinger has the 3rd place slot locked up. Me and Brooks Evans will be the 4th and 5th seeds. So however wins that will round out the top four with the loser going as a alternate.
