I dunno about all this rankin stuff...but why are kids that placed at a weight last year in a different weight this year....like anderson Shane Carey at 135 is ranked 12th and he placed 8th at 130 last year and is even smaller this year,,, and me i am weighing 143 but am ranked at 152...personally i think this is some b.s.

Well you pretty much answered why you arent top 15, 19th or 20th the past 4 years.............You all have yet to place top 15. You have to earn respect in wrestling, its never just given to u.

Did you actually look at the rankings before typing this response?  Chui is #1 at 119.  And I don't have Veach beating Peace.  Peace is #1 at 140.  I request that you please read the posts before making an uninformed response.

It is not bs.  I am making an educated guess where I think everyone will end up.  I'm sure I am way off on some of these guys.  But I think this is much better than just taking the returning state placers and putting them on a list.  Please go back and count again, Carey is ranked 10th at 135.  And if you can make a case for him being able to beat anyone ahead of him then I'm glad to hear it.  If he goes to 130 again then great as well.  Getting on this site and sharing information is how the rankings are improved and more accurate.

Actually, your finishes the last 5 years have been #56 (2002), #37 (2003), #22 (2004). #18 (2005), #19 (2006).  Great improvement and a good top 20 finish last season!  But that guarantees nothing this year.  Plus, you lost 5 good seniors who accounted for about half of your wins at state and your highest placer.  Plus, your region will be tough this year.  With Larue and North Hardin having awesome teams and John Hardin being a possible top 10 team, state spots will be tough to come by and individual regional champs (and better draws at state) almost impossible to get.

Yea but i dont understand how you are going to state that some wrestlers are gonna stay at there weight from the previous year and leave some at the same weight...i should be ranked at 145 not 152...i believe honestly i should be 3rd or 4th at 145

Lets take a look at this.

Courtney and Banks 1 and 2 (I don't think there is an argument here)

Ervin 3rd  (if not injured may have placed higher, but still higher than Isaacs

Jackson 4th (Many may think he needs to prove himself)

Saunders 5th (Placed at 140 last year)

Golsby 6th (I believe split with Saunders last year and only lost by a couple at the NKAC against Wilson last year)

I'm like Ranger, no offence but you need to prove you belong. (3rd ????)

I am basing the weights on what I have seen over the summer and the feedback I have received from coaches, fans, parents, and wrestlers.  I haven't heard or seen any results or news of what you have done or been weighing this summer.  And typically high school kids grow from year to year.  So I assumed you would be moving up.  I know that's not always the case, but more times than not kids move up from year to year.

As far as 145 goes, we can't start talking until #4.

If you are referring to a particular comment then it is a good idea to use the quote function.  Otherwise, I assume you are referring to my initial post.

The rankings are all speculation of what Ranger sees, hears, and knows, there are changes I found out about at our school in the last three weeks I would not have believed. Sami -dude,,,  guy,  settle down, read all of the posts, not just the rankings post and you will understand where all of the ranks come from besides what happened last year, there were a lot of things going on in the off-season; football, cross-country, and lets not forget some tourneys and camps that exposed some weaker and stronger kids.

For a sideline I do not want to have bad karma

I am from Missouri, we wrestled Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, once we went to MI, I wish everybody here knows that 25 years ago, we (KY, there was really stereo typical going on) were not on the map, now because of the Coopers, WC, and many others, I apologize for not mentioning this part that I know. KY is becoming a force in the sport. I lived in Missouri for twenty years, we wrestled in the practice on lofts of hay and we were happy to have a mat' (Outs -Hey sticking out - always stuck us with straw if you landed in the hole.  Moral of this story is I like the technology, some great wrestling people, Ranger takes the time,,,good time, keep it as professional as ya can, we will see how it all works out as it changes after each week of the great matches we will witness!

There is a BIG mistake here where it says DeSales Alex Pike.....He is not the Varsity 140lb. at DeSales. He was the JV when I was injured last season he took my place.  Alex Pike is the Varsity 130. He does fair well against DeSales real varsity 140lb. Hector Rosado.

I think K turner will move up the list, just because of his desire to win this year, I think his mental mistakes that allowed him to be put on his back will decrease, unless he slacks he slacks in his training, he will surprise some of the better known wrestlers, Sk always wrestles a tough schedule, it will be the same this year

As I have stated I don't hear from every wrestler and coach in the state.  All I know is that he qualified for state at 140 last season.  Thanks for clearing this up, but until you tell me these things I don't know about them.

I agree.  Those SK kids are always ready for business when we get to Frankfort.
