Good numbers across the state this year; right at 950 kids competed in the district tournament this season with relatively good participation everywhere. We are used to seeing big numbers up in Northern Ky, but this year the turnout was great in Lexington and Western KY; good in Oldham, Louisville, and N KY. I keep hearing about new teams starting up from Grant MS and Cov Cath in N KY to Taylor County. Not to mention the last minute addition of Farnsley MS this year in Louisville. Good things happening in KY middle school wrestling. And yes, if you haven't been around middle school wrestling in a few years, the competition just keeps picking up.
