Thanks again, Mathound, for doing such a great job running the tournament. There's no way it would have went off the way it did without your help and leadership with running tournaments.

If you are planning to compete in the District 7 Tournament, I'm trying to be a little proactive in planning. We need a location, but before we can account for how much space we'll need let's put together a list of schools. Please contact me here if you plan on being at the tournament so we can get an idea for number. Thanks!

It happened in 1996 at 140 lbs. out of the Lexington Region as well; Region results were: 1. Joe Carr, Jr. (Woodford Co.) 2. Robbie Laslie (South Oldham) 3. Pat Szydlowski (Oldham Co.) 4. Dan Moody (Paul Dunbar) State results were: 1. Joe Carr, Jr. (Woodford Co.) 2. Andrew Tinsley (Caldwell Co.) 3. Pat Szydlowski (Oldham Co.) 4. Dan Moody (Paul Dunbar) 5. Robbie Laslie (South Oldham) 6. Martin (De Sales)

It does add water weight; it basically super-hydrates muscle tissue so that you don't fatique as quickly and recover faster. For the off-season, it's great if you're going to be lifting consistently and looking to put on bulk muscle. Don't use it during the season though, as its use is counterproductive when trying to shed water weight.

University of the Cumberlands is running a joint camp this year with Barry Davis, the head coach at Wisconsin. Follow the link: http://www.barrydaviswrestlingcamp.com/ -

Updates through championship quarters; consolations start today.

Scroll down to the bottom of the article to see the brackets. These won't be official until weigh-ins (3 pm today), but you can at least see where everyone is supposed to fall. http://naia.cstv.com/sports/m-wrestl/spec-rel/030409aad.html

We're definitely looking at him at UCumberlands, I would love to have him and see him continue to progress. Plus, we need both 141 and 149 for next year, so he could start immediately.

He actually only wrestled Exline at this tournament, but that's still an impressive win and tournament. Here's a link to brackets: http://www.moval.edu/athletics/wrestlingm/files/2009_mvc_open.pdf

Martin is not ranked right now, but if he's not redshirting I would imagine wins over #7 Exline and #4 Hernandez would put him in the rankings. New NAIA rankings come out tomorrow, so we'll see!
