I have been getting a lot of inquiries about tournaments for the off season. Please look over the list and pick a date. If your tournament has not been sanctioned 1 month prior to the tournament date, it will be considered open and another team may sanction a tournament for that date. Please keep in mind that hosting two events on the same date will hurt both hosts and lower the number of participants.

Just to throw this out there...What would the interest level be of putting together a Regional All-Star Team and having a dual tournament this off season?  Probably early March because of weight issues.  I would guess region champ gets dibs on the first spot and it would roll up from there.  Each school within the region could host practices (as long as they are a USAW club team).  I'm not sure who would coach or if we could just get volunteers from each region?  Any ideas?

One of those dates in March is also the Battle of the Bridges with Jeffersonville.  This was open to Jefferson County's champ and runner- up.

Tenn. has been calling off the hook to have an all star dual. Our KY boys need to step up.

We have started a middle school version of the regional all-star team for kids around Louisville - Bluegrass Warriors. Last year was a lot of fun and fairly successful. We placed 13th out of 97 teams at the US Army Midwest Nationals in Illinois. This year's team is going to be much bigger and stronger. I will post more details in the Youth Wrestling forum. If anyone wants to learn more, feel free to contact me.
