Expanding to a two day tournament increases the cost for schools. Now most teams will need a hotel and meals for at least one night.

That would definitely be an issue.  I'm waiting to see the damages to KHSAA sports with all of the proposed budget cuts that they are anticipating.  This could be devastating to many sports.
