Zeus 117 Report post Posted February 16, 2017 I'm always in favor of the more off-season programs and clubs. Am I missing something about Coach Ramos though? I'm pretty sure the Olympics were in 1992 and 1996, or are you referring to the World Championships? If this is a typo about the year or name of event then please disregard my question. tiltfor3 20 Report post Posted February 16, 2017 Great to see the commitment from the new staff at Louisville Trinity. Also great to see that Blake is back contributing after breaking his neck at Ohio State. I say within the next couple of years, you will see Trinity running with the Big Dogs again. TrinityWrestling 8 Report post Posted February 16, 2017 My goal is to have both clubs run until at least Fargo. Both Coach Ramos and Maurer/Coughlin said that they will continue to run the clubs as long as the interest remains high. I'd like to see them run year round.

Maurer was the best High School wrestler I've ever witnessed on the mat in my 25 years of coaching. Coughlin not to far behind. If these young men coach the way they wrestled, your kids will benefit greatly. 0 Quote 125uncobear 0 Members 1 post Posted 21 February (edited) · Thursday at Trinity high school MCWC wrestling will be having a free introduction to the club. This Club is focused on High School and Middle School wrestlers with at least a year of experience. Doors open at 6pm with practice starting at 6:15. The wrestlers must have a USA Wrestling Card.Coach Ramos is a great coach and has a very impressive resume (Olympian-8th place in '96, World Cup Champ, PanAm bronze, etc). He also helped coach the Cuban Olympic Team and the Mexican National Team. He teaches different stuff -- his warmup, technique, conditioning, etc are all unique. We had our other club (Maurer-Coughlin out of Evansville, IN) start last Thursday. There were about 30 kids, including several IN state champs and place-winners. They got after it and had a great practice. Practices are in the Trinity Wrestling Room, located behind the school on the 2nd floor of the Marshall Center.
