Head Coach - Wrestling Trinity High School is seeking applicants interested in serving as Head Coach – Wrestling. The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated faculty, staff and coaches. Applicants should have high school wrestling coaching experience, to include at least five years as a head coach. Applicants should have a proven track record of hiring and maintaining a staff of assistant coaches, developing student-athletes both on and off the mat and overseeing all aspects of a successful high school wrestling program. An applicant who is also a certified high school teacher is preferred but not required. Primary duties will be the oversight of the Trinity wrestling program, adherence to Trinity school policies and adherence to KHSAA member policies. All Trinity coaches are expected to Form Men of Faith, Form Men of Character and Compete at the Highest levels in each of their sports. Trinity will be hosting JV meets on the following Mondays. We’ll have 2 mats going. The goal being to get the JV’s as many matches as possible (not team duals). Cox is going to be a nice addition to the Union squad next season. It was actually Lenhart that he beat at Ryle last year. Lehman lost to Pogue 4-2 in the finals of that tournament.

These clubs are open to ALL wrestlers grades 6th - 12th (not for beginners, must have some experience). USA Wrestling Cards are required. Coach Ramos is a former Olympian (1996, 8th place) with extensive experience competing and coaching at the highest levels of our sport. This club starts March 1st and is held Tuesdays & Wednesdays 6:15-8pm. SEE ATTACHED FLYER. 2. Maurer-Coughlin Wrestling Club (MCWC) -- FOLKSTYLE & FREESTYLE WRESTLING. This nationally-ranked club is out of Evansville, Indiana and has trained some of the best high school wrestlers in the nation. Coach Maurer and Coach Coughlin have developed a great system. This club starts March 2nd and will be on Thursdays from 6:15-7:45pm. Maurer was the best High School wrestler I've ever witnessed on the mat in my 25 years of coaching. Coughlin not to far behind. This Club is focused on High School and Middle School wrestlers with at least a year of experience. Doors open at 6pm with practice starting at 6:15. The wrestlers must have a USA Wrestling Card.Coach Ramos is a great coach and has a very impressive resume (Olympian-8th place in '96, World Cup Champ, PanAm bronze, etc). He also helped coach the Cuban Olympic Team and the Mexican National Team. He teaches different stuff -- his warmup, technique, conditioning, etc are all unique. We had our other club (Maurer-Coughlin out of Evansville, IN) start last Thursday. There were about 30 kids, including several IN state champs and place-winners. They got after it and had a great practice. Practices are in the Trinity Wrestling Room, located behind the school on the 2nd floor of the Marshall Center.
