AUSTIN HAS WRESTLED 8  top 20 flo ranked heavies in the last 2 years lost to 2 last year by 1 point .

Wrestled 4 top tens this year lost by pin twice major twice lost to another top 20 by 4 and majored another rop 20 one .from last year has graduated 5 from this year are srs 2 are jrs 1 is an olympic and world champ and 2 x nat champ .Austin is a freshman.I think its safe to say he has a good shot at an AA and will beat some AAs before hes done .Also think its safe to say no ky wrestler has faced the conp he has faced rhis yr or ever as a freshman and none hace faced an olympic or world  champ on.a college stage as far as I know.

He has wins against wrestlers in.the ncaa coaches poll and the ncaa rpi poll and is ranked in.the rpi at 24 

He will improve every year and his team and coach are behind him 100 percent .

Unlike sone of the fans in his home state .

If a few obvious posters with agendas want to write him off as a rs fresh thats fine lol but im sure that well over half the wrestlers in D1 heavyweight wrestling would like to be where he is at regardless of his grade and im not sure but I could only imagine the number of D1 or freshman who would like.to be where he is at .

As for the MAC hes tied as a  3 seed and has a major victory over the #2 and a solid win over #3 he is in a tie with and hes the only fr ranked top 4 in conference at his weight .His last regular season match he had a victory over an Ncaa coaches poll and rpi ranked heavy who has a win.over the #2 guy in his conference this yr .

You might think he needs to be 197 and.whos.to.say he wouldnt be better there but he obviously is.doing ok.where hes at and its very doubtful his coaches have any plans for him to drop with a freshman starter who was the only guy on the team to start every match on.the schedule.this yr and is seeded top 4 in conference .

Austin has placed in.every tournament except 2 in 2 years of wrestling and.made it to.rd of 16 this yr at   the scuffle.

Hokie open.last yr 2 and 2 losing to nationally ranked vollaro by 1 and this yr  nationally ranked marchok by last sec td in the 3rd .

3rd  at uni open this yr 

2nd at clarion last yr 

Placed at borh edinboro and nittany lion open last yr

5th at mich st open.open div 5 n 1last yr

Hes in a class where there is not a single freshman ranked in the top 20 and the most upperclassmen dominated weight class in wrestling.

Austin Myers 2 seed vs Devin.Nye 7 seed .with a win.Then he will have the winner of Gage Hutchison and JJ Everard in.semis if he wins.then he would be in.Finals .He has beaten Everard and lost to Hutchison.this year both have been ranked top 20 intermat or flo this yr .Close comp.between 7 of.the 9 heavies there this yr and im betting either for a finals match or for top 3 he will have to.beat either Everard or Hutchison.

NYE PLACED THIRD at last years MAC championships Austin has a win over him and Jake Gunning who finished second there last year this season.

Look at it another way...the committee must recognize the improvement in the MAC 285 class to expand automatic qualifiers from 1 to 3.  Too bad for at least 2 good heavys who may not make the trip.  Sorry Everard and Hutchison!!!

Yes 5 were actually ranked top 33 RPI  thats whats funny about everyone whining they could.have easily been given more aqs the rpi is stats the coaches poll is preference and politics.
