KentuckyWrestlingHeavy 1 Report post Posted February 8, 2013 They lost to central Hardin by 4 i think and missed the state duals by getting third but than Meade couldn't go and the ended up getting to go but got last but I'm pretty sure they ended somewhere around 23rd overall..... I may be wrong though
FalconWrestling 147 Report post Posted February 8, 2013 You might be thinking of Ranger's team rankings which aren't very accurate espically concerning region 1. Making it to State Duals was good work by Apollo but they haven't finished higher then 50th at the state tournament for as long as I could remember. The program started in around 2002/2003 and I am not sure if they have ever had a state placer, Zimi John should've placed though. Tyler Ward has a decent shot at placing this year since outside of our region 106 is pretty weak.

FalconWrestling 147 Report post Posted February 8, 2013 Ya you're right, 4th place at 189 in 2006. I found no previous results for Apollo. That might have been their first year, naplesme would know more

FalconWrestling 147 Report post Posted February 8, 2013 There you go! Exactly what I am looking for. Got some pretty surprising upsets in there (Hedrick, Brown, and of course Ward)
halfhalfhalf 121 Report post Posted February 8, 2013 Matt Green was a stud at 89. I wrestled him in 05-06 when our tournament was individual and got pinned. If memory serves me correctly Green was their first placer. Again Naplesme would know better than I would considering I was wrestling in TN at that time. FalconWrestling 147 Report post Posted February 11, 2013 Regaldo, I am beyond stoked about his performance. He also finished 4th at Middle School state. I haven't seen him wrestle but I am told he is en route to being the next David Sahms.
