The Tigers Roughed up NCAA II Findlay 48-3 today but dropped two duels to NCAA I Clarion 34-3 and Kent State 32-9. Very tough competition and our guys responded well. Against Clarion, Colby Rinehart got a win over NCAA ranked Tyler Bedlyon at 141. Against Kent State Cody Steiner had a win over Gray at 125, Shawn McGhee won at 157 and Marvin Lawrence won at 174. Also, congrats to Freshman Brandon Pledger on his 4th place finish at EMU open at 174 and Sophomore Drew Ferguson on his 8th palce finish at 133. Lots of Tiger Wrestling shirts in the crowd today. Good seeing all of you today and thanks for the support! Not bad for a Kentucky boy that did not start wrestling until he was a freshman in high school...proud papa!!!

I agree those Campbell County boys handled themselves with class. Congrats to the Tigers, another group of classy boys...very proud of each and everyone of you. I have to give a shout out to my son Brandon Pledger, your hard work and sacrafice for the team comes as no suprise to your Coaches, teammates, or family...I love you Son. God could not have given me and your Mother a greater gift.

My son was Blessed by having those three Men be part of his life. The lessions they taught him will extend far past wrestling and will benefit him the rest of his life. From a very thankful Father, Thank you Gentlemen for being a part of our lives.

Pledger wrestled 182, and won the tournament beating the Moore kid in the finials also winning MOW award. ST X wins with close to a 100 point margin on 2nd place.

Indeed a fine young man, and yes a great Kentucky wrestler. All Kentucky wrestlers should strive to emulate this young man.
