Does KY have any teams or individuals in the IronMan?

Historically, KY has not had much or any participation at the Ironman.

There are 2 hurdles with getting in. First, it is a bit smaller of a tournament compared to some of the other big nationals so getting in is more difficult and is tightly controlled by Bob P. Second there is a KY bylaw that says you are not allowed to miss a day of school for an in-season tournament. Since Ironman is on a Friday/Saturday it would be in violation of that rule. Beast of the East on the other hand is a Saturday/Sunday tournament and occurs on the weekend that starts Christmas break so over the years has gotten more interest from KY wrestlers. Super32 has also been attracting more and more KY guys each year.

Im sure BOB P would let some really good studs in and im betting KY would like to be represented in the toughest wrestling tournament in the country ,and that is easily the Walsh Iron Man ,the room may seem crowded but it is by no means a small tournament as far as talent goes ,When you see Graham and Eds getting beat on the same day you know you are in the thick of it ,nothing compares ,I think Powerade or cheesehead would be next in line as far as tournaments go super 32 is duiring football season and many studs are playing ball still.

Placing at Iron Man would be worth postponing whatever tournaments came before it .

Simply do not let a kid wrestle for the school untill afterwards so officially no rules would be broken and im sure Bob P up at the Iron Man would let some studs in .Of course Ky would be much wiser to allow kids to do a tournament like that ,im not sure of the rules but i am sure there are ways around them.

Also you have Beast Of The East which is right up there with Ironman, Cheesehead, and Powerade. There has been some representation from KY at that tournament.

NKY: you forget you are now in the bluegrass state. If your not bouncing a basketball then there are no exceptions to the rule. KHSAA has wrestling near the bottom. 15-20 years ago they would have probably liked for wrestling to no longer be a KHSAA sport.

Wrestling can't afford to bend any rules. Remember KY has just recently allowed coaches to coach thier wrestlers in national tournaments. If you go to the tourney not under a school then the school insurace polocy is not valid. You also will not be a sanctioned team therefore the "Iron man" may not allow an individual in.

Just throwing ideas around I have heard of studs from other states not wrestling for their school and hitting all the big tournys.

You have to play on an even playing field to compete .
