My son wrestles with East and Leo was an awesome kid on and off the mat. The local community and wrestling community has shown the Travers family so much love. I know it's greatly appreciated.

So at a meet and kid is close to getting pinned in regular hold that I always see and he taps the opponent and ref stops the match. Kid jumps up and ready to go immediately so he wasn't choking or anything, is this normal? IMO the kid didn't want to get pinned and was up in points and few seconds left. Other teams coach confronts the ref. Kid that tapped won by points. I'm new to this stuff!!

I was telling my kid, these others have years of experience on him and he has plenty time to get up there, he is 8th grade.

That is her name and wrestles for Whitley...she is still in 106. For sure is a great competitor.

You got that right, he almost had podium spot Saturday but got 4th, young lady from Whitley was tough, so he is hungry for podium spot. I love the long dads but I'm use to it, got one kid doing travel baseball lol.

Who all will be in Louisville tomorrow?

It was my first tournament as a dad and kinda new to me, I guess it was somewhat overwhelming with all the people. Had a blast and got wrestling with the bleachers a few times lol. I don't know what it takes to do a tournament but I run other events and it's a headache when things don't go how you had planned. It is nerve wrecking when they say 10min break and turns into hour break. Another thing was they called my kids weight class so he gets up and ready then they change it do he waits again for hour or so. That happened a few times, but I guess just something to get use to with wrestling. Again this is our first year. Looking forward to more events.

Yeah he is loving it so I guess dad will be dumping money this summer lol. By the way congrats on your 1000th Post!! Haha

Yes this tournament wasn't ran very well at all. Jmo
