Thanks, yeah you had front row seats lol...I'll tell him, it's his first year so still learning. I've heard 3-4 different reasons why.

The kid I guess was hurt or wind knocked out of him but went on and wrestled 2nd round. Call was up by like 4 or 5 pts I think. I just want to know what made the slam illegal so I can let him know why it was but all I have is live feed video on Facebook lol.

And illegal moves get warning then DQ?

Had wrestler slam another in 106 and they called it illegal but all coaches I've been hearing saying it was legit and gave other kid the win.

This my first year as wrestling parent, soon as I learn more and figure it all out then I'll help but I'm not one to jump into something and make mistakes that coulda been avoided.

I agree, then not enough table workers, they were begging for workers. Computers crashed on couple tables. But great view!!!

Does anywhere in central Kentucky sell singlets? I've been to every sport store possible around Lexington. Was trying not to have to order online but might have too. Don't understand why sports stores don't atleast carry small variety.

My kid 14....Adult XS....academy isn't too far from me, like hour in ETown. I have time, I was thinking states was this week...lol. Thanks y'all

Im a new dad to this so idk how the weigh in works but folks told me at the meet there was no weigh ins, the coaches turned weights in??? Heck if I know.

We had this issue the other night, a young lady in my kids weight class told her mom my son was 14 and her mom talked to officials and they didn't wrestle so we drove 45mins for our 2 wrestlers to wrestle each other 2 out of 3. The young lady is darn good too by the way.

My kid is 14 but this was his first year ever wrestling. We heard our county had a youth club so we let him wrestle to see if he really wanted too do it. Well he loves it and we already spent the $$ to let him wrestle with the youth club so he is finishing the youth season then concentrating on high school. Actually we have 2 that are 1st timers. You can't assume some kids have wrestled forever and ready for high school or middle school as we all know they are wrestlers that have been in sport for a while. A JV would be cool too, but age doesn't outweigh experience.

I don't know about all that other stuff but I'll agree there was some good wrestling. Our small team (Jessamine) had 5 or so Podium places which we are proud of. We aren't huge but our boys just love to get out there and wrestle. I saw a lot of good sportsmanship but saw some bad to, our kids always will try to help other up and after they shake hands with the coach they will go to wrestler again to shake hands again but got cold shoulder quite a bit. All in all was great day of wrestling. One thing I overheard was kids out of weight class, I didn't understand that but is what it is. Congrats to all teams!!! Stay Humble and Wrestle On!!!!
