As a former board member I wanted to remind some of the confused. We did add the older age group to allow these kids to continue their season. It was also voted to stop the Team trophys/points. This was never enforced. My point: who cares if its a youth,ms,jv tournament.

Raidercoach and gameface you guys are hilarious! This is truly a plea for someone to step into a good club with some GREAT kids. Its time for me to move on. I hope somebody has the time patience and wrestling background to keep the Braves Club going strong.

The Braves are looking for a head coach. We are back to back Division 2 Youth State Champions. Great group of kids that know how to work. Opportunity to also head up a middle school club team. Contact me for information. This a great opportunity for you to take over a strong club team.

I was in favor of no face offs. Its fun to listen to Mr. Thomas roll the last names off his tongue. So I hope we bring it back. We should look at spending less money on awards and singlets. Invest the money into security. Actually keep people off floor. It was out of control. A staging area for youth kids. Instead of mat side. Have bout runners bring them to the mats. This would help keep parents off floor.

I apologize for being both a smart ass and a dumbass. Both come completely natural to me. I have twin girls that wrestle. Both are youth state champions. They love the sport. They out work the boys at practice and it shows at tournaments. They are planning on wrestling freestyle this spring. Hope to see many female athletes on the mats.

Why these hot topics are fresh in people's heads. When and Where is the spring meeting? Let's do a roll call. If you are not present then you are not allowed on the MB!! LOL

This all started with the pounders ppw metric. I will give you the Division 2 Championship Trophy. You can pick it up in Grant County. We practice Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. 6-8. See you soon !!

One last post. I couldn't resist!! I wrestled in states where quality was more important than quantity. If you guys want to make our state tournament legit then let's use the regionals a qualifier and all age appropriate kids can compete. Yes a smaller state tournament that could be held at lets say Grant County High School. The Come one Come all mentality is fine if our state tourney is about Money and exposure but if you want it to be a true State Tournament then show up to vote in the spring and let's make the proper changes. I'm all in !!!

I nominate raidercoach for the next VP. Good luck to you sir. This doesn't work in reality like it does in your mind/heart! I accepted the position with positive aspirations for change as well .

My suggestion: All coaches concerned show up to the spring meeting. Force a vote with all your concerns. Accept the vote or continue complaining and do nothing. Leave me off the next ballot!

The Association has to decide is youth wrestlings main objective: GROWTH or competitiveness ? I don't believe you can have both. I personally think it is absurd that a wrestler of the correct age is not allowed to compete due to their placing at MS State! What's the next rule, they can't compete if they place at a national event? That being said; Somehow, I was elected VP of the youth. I was lead to believe that growth at the youth level was priority. #1. If that is truly the case, I would keep all MS placers out of youth. Top 6. This would keep youth state a feel good tournament. Before the haters jump all over me Rember this is not my personal belief but my position as VP. The association is clear GROWTH is our top priority!!

You can't leave us hanging on that!!! Just want it to be clear. The Braves don't cut our roster for state. We believe every kid gets the chance to experience Youth State!!

Great StateYouth Tournament. The level of wrestling was spectacular. Big thank you to Adam, Matt, Jason and Darren. The 16 man brackets and Track Wrestling gave a Big Tournament feel to the day.
